Fonda, 67, spoke at Unity Temple, in The Plaza shopping district, about her new book, "My Life So Far" and her new movie with Jennifer Lopez called "Monster-In-Law."
At about 9 p.m., police said a man who had been waiting in line for about 90 minutes, passed a book to Fonda and then spit a large amount of tobacco juice into her face.

Fonda declined to prosecute the man for allegedly spitting in her face.
Michael A. Smith, 54, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, which is a city charge.
Perfectly appropriate. I have to wonder why the traitor bitch has not ben fragged.
This brave American should be awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor.
To compare the pie "assault" of Ann Coulter to the spit "assault" of Jane Fonda is...ludicrous.
This is NOT apples-to-apples.
To clarify:
Ann Coulter was "assaulted" for being a conservative who espouses all the values of an American Patriot;
Jane Fonda was "assaulted" for being a left traitor who espoused the values of an anti-American.

Fonda is infinitely more likely to be at risk of contracting AIDS via her innumerable slutty sexcapades over the past four decades, I daresay, than from any chewing tobacco-related mishap. :)

Unfortunately, conservatives have been afraid, unwilling, etc., to fight the left with their own tactics, taking a self-imposed higher, moral position.
Methinks the left has been laughing at this for years. Perhaps aggression towards them is the only way they'll learn their aggression towards conservatives was wrong. Generally, Libs aren't too smart, sometimes they have to feel the same thing they dish out before they can empathize. (Let's not hold our breath, however)
Still think if we shut up & go away, the left will only get stronger. Remember, their control is only now waning since the late 60's...nearly 40 years of social, media, academia & judicial activism....that sucks....no time to act like weenies now.

In the sexually enlightened arena, this spitting act is considered quite vogue. They call it snowballing. I'm sure Jane has had similar experiences, just not during a booksigning.

I don't disagree that it is worth spit and a lot more. I will urinate on her grave if I have the opportunity. If we are to criticize the left, however, we need to watch what we do. Had a relative or close friend died in Vietnam, I would have given her a picture of him in uniform. I would have told her that it was because of people like her that he died. I would have showed her a picure of some victims of the killing fields and given her the same message. What she did can never be forgiven. And, I would have suggested that she take those images to her grave. She might as well have pulled the trigger herself. Then, I would have told her that I have a rope and nice big tree at my house if she would care to finally do the honorable thing.
