Whatever.

I take it that you are in favor of the Church continuing to pass known child-molesting priests from parish to parish? Do you really think that will stop unless a few bishops and cardinals are exposed for their complicity in this?

You must have missed the myriad of C-SPAN conferences in which mainstream journalists declare that they are no longer just messengers...

"One of the surprising aspects of the elevation of Benedict XVI is that the most liberal College of Cardinals in history elected the most conservative prelate among them to be their leader. This reflects an institutional self-evaluation in which cardinals decided it was necessary to scale back some 1960s reforms."

This "College" is hardly the most liberal in history, having been picked by JPII, save three.

And there is absolutely no evidence that anybody, Ratzinger included, wants to scale back any reforms of Vatican II.

You might call [MSM journalists] missionaries for secularism and socialism,

Good insight.

How can a Hitler's Youth be the "right man?"

This is not good
at all.

Hitler was a master brainwasher, his followers devoted to the death, either theirs, or their neighbors'!

ANY ONE who went through that indocrtination
should be OUT of the running.

There are plenty of good, clean people.

Let them lead.

We don't need to go to the PIT OF HELL
to find a pope, do we?

Onyx,

I am going to make your day today. :-) Read Psalm 2 and Romans 1. The HS gave me these this morning concerning the election of the Pope. Read the headlines on this forum and read the scriptures. Peace.

It stopped. Between 1981 (when Ratzinger took office as Prefect of the Congregation for the doctrine of the Faith) and 1994, the incidence of sex abuse dropped NINETY-FOUR PERCENT... before the press ever got wind of the problem.

Why has Onyx's account been "banned or suspended"? A member since 1999??

You are woefully ignorant.
Best to know the subject prior to posting for all to see.

I think he's got plenty of years ahead of him. I suspect he'll live to be well over 100. His papacy will be much more than a "placeholder", it will probably be the most significant of the 21st Century. The MSM is worried he'll roll back all the progress, with regards to societal ills the Liberals have made, preaching from their altar of immorality, since the 1960's.

Hardly. One would be foolish to assume that the Church wasn't bsy covering up abuse in the 90's...

It stopped.

The problem with that is that the parishoners never got wind of it either and therein lies a great failure by my Chuch.

Bump

One-sixth of the world is Roman Catholic.

Sad that a Pope couldn't be found among them who had not been a member of the Hitler Youth.
