I'm with you, man. How did this thread get over 1,200 posts? Are people really that emotionally attached to the UN ambassador?
Judges. Now that's what I care about.
"Judges. Now that's what I care about."
This was a sneak preview on how judicial nominees will be turned down.
you think we can get a conservative SCOTUS appointment through, when we can't even get a UN ambassador approved?
No matter how important the specifics of the post, the hearings demonstrated the minority Dems making complete monkeys out the Republicans. We put the Republicans in office to accomplish something, not to be outsmarted like a bunch of rubes.
If they are going to cave in on something like this, then you can be damn sure you will never see any judges confirmed. The sword cuts both ways. If they can't handle a popgun matter like UN Ambassador, they will surely fail when the stakes are higher.
I agree that the judges are more important. This thread was probably widely viewed as a warm-up, indicative of what will follow in the other.
I don't think BOLTON's confirmation out of committee has a thing to do with this thread. Mainly I see it as the Dims controlling whatever they want, AS THE MINORITY. The absolute disgust many have with RINOs and the weakness of the GOP Committee Chairman has many, like myself, livid.
