OK..here's what we know..Senate is in recess for the weekly party caucus luncheons. Supposed to resume at 2:15. on C-span 2.. The Foreign Relations committee is supposed to meet at 2:45 to vote on the Bolton nomination. Lugar has refused requests for a delay. Just before the Senate recessed, Reid objected to Frist's UC request for the Froeign Relations committee to meet today. Frist withdrew his request..
I'll meet you halfway -- If Lugar didn't ask Voinovich if he was OK with going forward, then he deserved to get humiliated. If Voinovich changed his mind during the hearing, then it's all on him. OK??
Either way, we looked BAD today. When you let the likes of Joe Biden and John Kerry and Box-O-Rox successfully pull a Jedi Mind Trick on you -- that's humiliating.

keep working your memory bank. I believe I read she is a Democrat activist...I think her allegations were in Sunday's Washington Post, and in the same article, I remember there being no contemporaneous confirmation of her charges.
No doubt over the next days we will hear more of her, but I suspect the democrats already know this is "he said, she said", that it won't be proven. But that's ok with them...they got what they wanted today, they stuck it to President Bush.
We have Bush, Rove and God on our side. I believe that.

That question is excellent and made me think. Voinobitch is not conservative and he may have FBI files hanging around loose. He may have done some un-republican things that he does not want out there in public,and the Dems know about it.
I just noticed that the Mikulski cloture PASSED and now they are voting on her illegal immigrant amendment---

Well, take a look at Trent Lott and the likes of him; they are nobodys who win in tiny precincts and then all they do is protect THEIR territory.

Because Voinovich is a scumbag who inevitable straddles the fence on each and every freaking issue. Same as he did with Afghanistan and Iraq. Odds are he either did not get something he wanted or he wants something he hasn't gotten yet.
To announce to the world that he hasn't been doing his job by missing committee meetings and becuase of that and this latest crap, he wants to think on it takes a special asshole. Voinovich fits that bill.
I have nothing against Ohioans, Lord knows, but I hope it is a conservative day in Boston, Mass when Voinovich gets anything from the WH or Congress for his constituents.
I wish those dims would ROT in......
Even if he wasn't there at 4, if they had voted it would have been 9 to 8 and that would have been voted OUT.
Once he spoke up, it gave cover to Chaffee and Hagel.

Its just a loss on a single ball game, not the end of the world. Probably good for this to occur now with this who-cares nominee so Bush can work out some things before we get a SC nominee up there. If I were Bush I'd call all of the Repubs on that committee over for lunch and chat about it.
Read what I said up the thread about Bush being a lame duck: these POTUS wannabes don't give on rat's butt about what Bush wants now.
