OK..here's what we know..Senate is in recess for the weekly party caucus luncheons. Supposed to resume at 2:15. on C-span 2.. The Foreign Relations committee is supposed to meet at 2:45 to vote on the Bolton nomination. Lugar has refused requests for a delay. Just before the Senate recessed, Reid objected to Frist's UC request for the Froeign Relations committee to meet today. Frist withdrew his request..

Hagel went first, then Voinovich, then Chaffee.
It's over; all of it.

If he doesn't have the votes because members of his own Party blindsided him, then there is nothing Lugar can do. True ..
GRRRR ... Volovitch is a POS for doing this !

We have to extend, because our RINOs caved. I'm leaving now to find a small animal to torture.

Sarbanes has been an A-hole for years--a big Clintonoid suck-up. Who ths hell votes for him anyway?
To: Howlin
This is a classic Borking. RATs don't have the votes, but they have the guts, the determination and the brains. Those are more important than votes in the Senate. The so-called Constitutional Option is dead now.

Better start teaching your kids to speak Chineese. Give them a leg up when they take over the world. You are watching the US sink into the ocean.

Its not over...its just going to be delayed in order for everyone to investigate the recent allegations against Bolton. If nothing is found, then the Republicans will probably close-up ranks and vote him out of committee.
To: YaYa123
This is a HUGE defeat for President Bush.
Add in the judiciary fiasco, and the Pubbies look like a bunch of amateurs trying to govern.
How many Republicans does it take to make a majority???? My gosh, a total of 55 out of a 100 can't do the job. Maybe they need to turn the Senate back to the Dems and just be happy being the minority.
To: Mo1
The Republicans have never handled this kind of adversity appropriately, imo. THey fold like cheap suits. Or is it cards? LOL
Now they are talking about NOT voting right now? Sheesh.
Have to run out again...will check in later.

R's--GROW A PAIR!
The Dems are the biggest bunch of fire-setters in terms of rhetoric. And the R;s don't want to be hated, so they try to be nice.
You get respect from me by fighting back. THAT is what will make me like you, not this wimpy Dr. Phil crap.

The Democratic party, at its very core, is nothing but an illogical hatred of Western Civilization. There is very little about it that is rational. They have never won on logic.
They have won because they cheat, they exploit emotionalism, and they invent lies out of thin air. And the only reason they get away with it is because the Republicans let them do so.

Sarbanes has been an A-hole for years--a big Clintonoid suck-up. Who ths hell votes for him anyway? He's a Dem from Maryland. Has Maryland ever had a Republican Senator? Hell, Mikulski will be in office for life!
