KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- A rabbi wearing a yarmulke and a man wearing swastikas got into a fight at Kansas City International Airport Sunday evening.
According to a police report, Rabbi David Fine, 36, of Overland Park, was in the KCI terminal when he commented to Steven T. Boswell, 30, of Olathe, about a large swastika logo on his shirt and his swastika necklace.
Fine told Boswell that he should be ashamed of himself, and Boswell responded by calling the rabbi inhuman, the police report stated.
The rabbi allegedly threw a cup of coffee in Boswell's face and punched him. Boswell told police he then repeatedly punched Fine in the head.
Both men were handcuffed and charged with disorderly conduct. They refused medical attention.
The responding officer said Fine had some small bumps on his head and Boswell had coffee stains on his clothing.
Both men are scheduled to appear in court on June 22.
I think the title was very poorly chosen.
I think you got it backwards. The rabbi is the one who should have gotten his butt kicked. He has no right to physically attack a person for displaying a message that he does not agree with.
Some people think a shirt with a US flag is hate. Does that mean that a US flag is tantamount to a Nazi flag? No.
Naziboy wore that gear hoping to get a reaction. He basically asked people to kick his ass. He got what he wanted.
I disagree. To you or me a swastika wearer might be just an idiot but the image is likely exponentially more offensive and provocative to a Rabbi or any Jew, and probably intentionally so. In this circumstance I would invoke the afore-mentioned fighting words rule, but hey, I grew up seeing the numbers tattooed on the wrists of the older folks in some friends houses.
Are you really shedding tears for the "victim" here?
The Swastika is not a partisan symbol. It is saying "again" to the people who say "never again". Zalts em in de oygen Rabbi. Zol en krenken!
Whackjobs.
It sickens me to see the American flag in their midst.
If I see it, I'll destroy it. No need to wait.
My dad shot people who carried that message. Was he wrong?
Let's leave the CBF out of this one.
Then you will be in violation of the law and will deserve whatever retaliation the owner sees fit to bestow.
Good luck.
"Your analogy that NRA = Nazi is ridiculous."
You don't watch CBS, CNN, NBC, ABC, or get out much, do you AP? As far as the Left is concerned NRA DOES = Nazi.

Pull that stunt in Harlem today and the odds are nothing would happen to you other than the psychic angst of realizing that everyone thinks you're an a**hole.
I support your mission. It doesn't take much to get them to reveal themselves, it seems.
Then it's up to the mods if they stay or go. But at least we know who they are.
Perhaps. But it's a gray area. I sympathize with this Rabbi, I really do. I consider neo-Nazis to be one of the most anti-American groups around. However, the Rabbi is in the wrong here.
That being said, I'm sure the Nazi will drop the charges or the Rabbi will walk away with a slap on the wrist after pleading to a very minor infraction, such as disturbing the peace.
"Your tag line says everything about you we need to know ..."
It sounds that you are "knowing" it the wrong way.
Read it again.
Only in your world. You are just projecting. If I wear an NRA shirt, people don't get upset because the NRA DIDN'T MASSACRE 6 MILLION JEWS
Good tagline too. Very thought-provoking.
I don't miss.
I've been perusing the replies. Some people must think "Never Again" is just a catchy slogan.
