Benedict XVI Gloriae Olivae (sp?)
That's right, the symbol of the Benedictines is the Olive Branch/Tree. Hence it fulfils another one of Malachi's prophesies. One pope away from The End?

Benedict keeps being set forth... The 'Order of Olives" Hmmmm ..... 2nd last pope prior to antichrist (according to some prophesies).

Nice guess (though I'll pass on the prophecy part)
Ah, NBC was smart enough to have a reporter (Martin Savidge) in the new Pope's hometown in Germany and they have bells ringig and Savidge reporting via phone about the excitement.

The Church's relation to the holocaust is that the Church saved hundreds of thousands of Jews, Hitler attempted to destroy the Church, and many many priests and nuns were murdered in the Nazi death camps. The Vatican was surrounded by Nazi troops.
In response to the nonsense about the Church "not doing enough" I would like to know what Jewish leaders did to oppose Hitler in Germany. I have never heard any discussion of very active Jewish opposition to Hitler until the Warsaw Ghetto uprising very late in the game. It is my understanding that Jews attempted to ride Hitler out and thought it would be futile to openly oppose the Nazis. No criticism there, Hitler was a maniacal mass murderer.

"Benedict: of the olive. Malachy was right...again" The name Benedict has nothing to do with olives. It means "blessed." The Malachy stuff is a hoax, the only semi-accurate predictions were a forgery, done after the fact.

PETER THE ROMAN - This final Pope will likely be Satan, taking the form of a man named Peter who will gain a worldwide allegiance and adoration. He will be the final antichrist which prophecy students have long foretold. If it were possible, even the very elect would be deceived. The 112th prophesy states: "In the final persecution of the Holy Roman Church there will reign Petrus Romanus, who will feed his flock amid many tribulations; after which the seven-hilled city will be destroyed and the dreadful Judge will judge the people. The End."I'm not sure if St. Malachy predicted that the final Pope will be Satan (the antichrist). I think as can be seen from his own words, he predicts that the final Pope will "feed his flock amid many tribulations".
Sounds more like a protector of the Church than the Antichrist.

God bless Pope Benedict XVI!
May he be as stalwart a force against the evil of Islamofascism as Pope John Paul II was against Communism.
