The Senate Foreign Relations Committee is ready to vote on President Bush's nominee for U.S. ambassador to the United Nations. Democrats have lined up to oppose Undersecretary of State John Bolton's appointment. Committee Republicans are expected to support it. I called both of our notoriously RINO Senators from Maine last week about my support for Bolton, fully expecting them to vote with the Dems (as they are often wont to do) against him - and was pleasently surprised when they actually voted like Republicans for a change!

I'll have to call and thank them (hint - something a lot of us neglect to do when things go our way).

Now how much housecleaning B. is able to acomplish in that corruption infested hole of the UN remains to be seen - but it promises to be interesting.

Yeah, when's the vote? The silence is starting to worry me. Will we soon read, "Lugar Postpones Vote Again"?
