I think he would make a good president.

I think he'd make a good president, too, but the problem is he's not electable. And I have stuff he's written within my arm's reach right now. I'd vote for the guy but also I'd bet the entire ranch on Hillary, and I'd plan on living in Singapore as an expat for the next four years.

Hillary vs. Newt would be deja vu 1964 all over again.

I have been a Newt for president man since 1994--if he runs, and I assume that he will, I will raise money for his effort.

"He's a lightning rod........that's his problem. He's dead on with the issues though.....I'd vote for him."

We need someone with big ideas and the will to implement them. Newt has proven that he can do this. I hope Newt runs so that I can vote for him.

Will the 2008 presidential race be a contest between Hillary Clinton and Newt Gingrich?

Speculation is spreading this weekend as the former speaker of the House is reported to be "plotting an eye-catching comeback," according to London's Sunday Times.

Speculation is spreading and WND is helping smear it around....

Neither Hillary or Newtie will be the nominees for 08, imo.

Newt Gingrich is also the last republican to want a balanced budget.

They're hard to find these days, even in a conservative forum like Freerepublic.

Well .. Newt's not going to get very far by dissing Tom DeLay. The dems are eating it up.

George Allen......

"another SPINELESS RINO"

Nice try...Allen has an ACU rating of 92, and 91 lifetime. While I admit he is no Jeff Sessions, he is as conservative as George W. Bush (if not more) and Ronald Reagan.

I don't like Newt for President; his impetuous nature would be a detriment.

However, it might be good for him to run. The issues he would bring to the table and his style would energize the race and platform.

Newt! If you've got your ears on, please listen to this.

When you broke your Marriage vows twice, at least, you made it impossible for me to believe you would honor a Presidential Oath. You have explaining to do to me and others, and you don't have much time.

Integrity MATTERS!! Once belief in integrity is gone, it seldom comes back.

For whatever you might make of my opinion, I URGE YOU NOT TO RUN.

Hillary Clinton is the most hated woman in America. We don't need to conceed liberal planks to beat her.

President "Newt" is a pipe dream he's having. No conservative wants to hear his resurrection song. I wish he'd STHU. I do not like to see conservatives manipulated.

Newt is engaging in rank political mauipulation by using the ol' "Abbot and Costello good cop, bad cop" routines.

Newt's financial backers are coaching him, they know that all-important conservatives can be energized via certain issues.

Soon Newt will be throwing out political positions ---the ones Newt's financial backers want placed on the table.

Co-opting GWB, and US policy-making, is the name of Newt's game.

Amazingly, Newt, and his backers, think Americans just fell off a turnip truck and can't see through this game. I would not trust Gingrich as far as I could throw him.

Newt let us down before, but he won't get the chance to do it again.

He should STHU and go back to GOPAC, teaching, and his third wife (or maybe he's working on his fourth).

After the way the Terri Schiavo situation unfolded, I am fairly certain that Jeb Bush is through politically. I may be wrong, but I doubt it.

Yes, I would never be comfortable with President Newt. No way, no how. Nor with hillereee or goreee or kerryeee or any of those clowns.
