Even under the glare of spotlights, the King County Elections crew can't get it right.
Could it be that they are sandbagging it to prove incompetance?

No....they really are that incompetent.

For some bizarre reason, I live in King but vote in Pierce. Some kind of agreement between the two counties to keep our entire subdivion together instead of splitting it.
Odd as it is, at least I'm spared having to wonder whether King County counted (or even opened) my ballot!

"The real message here is we rely on voters to help us keep their information up to date," Egan said.
Way to go, Bobbie!
The plain facts are that the elections administrators have purposely made the rules and policies as lax and causal as possible.
This mess has been brewing for some time now - it didn't happen overnight. It has now reached critical mass. If we do not fix it now, the dems will have free reign to do absolutely as they please for the foreseeable future.

Yaaaaaaaaayy!
Now I can start a "fraud-2005-WA" section in my "Bookmarked" page of democrat vote fraud,,,,,
(That's nice, 'cause the "Fraud-2004-WA" section was getting "aweful" of too many stories about WA vote fraud. 8<)

Sounds like business as usual. Basically they are "setting" these elections up to go the way the want. We have to get this stopped.

The hospital board president also e-mailed King County Councilman Steve Hammond about the mail mistakes. ``It's almost getting to the point of surreal,'' Hammond said earlier this week. ``It's still not a system that assures accuracy. We seem to be up against a group of folks who think everything should rely on individuals. I'm appalled.''
Hammond, a Republican, has been a vocal critic of the elections department in the wake of the general election and problems with lost ballots and other irregularities.
Gosh, I have so much confidence in they way King County handles its elections. Wasn't it Ron Sims, the County Executive who said that banks would be proud of this degree of accuracy!
Memo to self, don't bank where Ron Sims banks.
