For some bizarre reason, I live in King but vote in Pierce. Some kind of agreement between the two counties to keep our entire subdivion together instead of splitting it.

Odd as it is, at least I'm spared having to wonder whether King County counted (or even opened) my ballot!

We, who live in Pierce County, know how to count.

Sounds like you're in the 39th Leg district? It is actually not an uncommon practice when a legislative district spans 2 or more counties. Since there are 16 leg districts in King county, most people in King county never come across it. It is quite common in the rest of the state.

Would you know how I would go about getting on the Washington ping list? Is there a Seattle ping list? (I live downtown).

My first introduction to King County led me to believe that, from day one, some individuals on the planning commission were high on something.

And the "new" pedestrian crosswalk signs (that were shot down) confirmed my beliefs.
