Christianity has shown success against pagan religions but no so against monotheistic ones. Christianity is not new to evangelisim - being that they were amongst the first centers of Christianity in the world and one of the few places left where Christians still speak Aramaic - the everday language Jesus spoke.

I only need to add that what makes her insults so devastating is that they're true. Sen. Kennedy is a drunk. His driving did lead to a woman's death. Radical Islamicists are ignorant murderers who are stuck in the Middle Ages. Democrats have advocated treasonous positions and policies. Nothing is more cutting than an unpleasant truth that everyone is trying to hide. She shouts these truths and makes them humorous. Not that she's perfect--sometimes her cuts are petty and personal. But that's the other subtext--she, like Rush, is imitating the Left's modus operandi and using it against them.

As a lover of truth, I love her polemicism.

Thank you, I was waiting for someone to say it. This is a very unflattering picture of Ann. It was intentional to make her look like a freak, clear down to her pointy shoes.

Remember the airbrushed picture of Al Gore that ran years ago with the airbrushed bulge in his trousers?

I can only imagine the article they wrote about Ann. Probably as unflattering as the picture.

All I can judge is from what history tells me. Christianity and Christian nations actually did badly against Islam until the Industrial Revolution coupled with the discovery of the Americas saved most of Christian Europe from Islam.

It was Columbus. He was attempting to find a sea route to India [or China] that wouldn't have to overland through the Middle East. He was partly successful and others were entirely successful, and that was the economic end of bedouin power.
