Actually, the polls are starting to look good. SOME Canadians are waking up. :-)

The latest poll by Ipsos-Reid

Highlights of the poll:

* Nationally: 36 per cent of decided voters would vote Conservative, up six points since the previous poll. Liberal support remains unchanged at 27 per cent. And 15 per cent would vote NDP, a four-point drop.

* In Ontario: Conservative Party support reached 39 per cent, a seven-point rise. Liberals have 33 per cent, a one-point drop.

We were told the Conservatives would win last time too by the polls - and as soon as the results were in from Atlantic Canada I knew they were wrong.

I don't know when the East will get fed up enough to vote in the Conservatives.

in fact there are two canads, the west is reasonable and full of normal people who are currently paying for those who are little more than a rather large extension of the massachusetts territory.

canada may well balkanize like the past soviet union as there are too many entrenched political interests with near total control and support of a dependent and aging population. the best and brightest in the east up there are gone or leaving... unless they can manage a spot in the government.

Perhaps the most telling - if not downright remarkable - finding in this particular poll, and one not surprisingly glossed over by the ever-pro-Liberal msn:

IMHO, this is the most hopeful news for us - and worst possible for the Liebrals - given that pretty much their principal hope of clinging to power clearly lies in being able to once again demonize Harper personally.

The more people who meet, or even get to know about Stephen Harper, have to love him.
I've met him, and I can see he's strong, reliable, quiet(shy maybe), and principled.

Just watch the man. He's going to lead us to a great future, for Canada, and all of North America. :-)

They CAN, and WILL, try to keep our advertising from getting across to the people, but if we all pasted bumper stickers on the back bumpers of our cars, (where the liberals belong) we all would know that we ARE the MAJORITY!
