If you look at the raw number, not percentage, Riverside County leads the way, followed closely by Clark County in Nevada. Nowhere else comes close.
And I guarantee those numbers are underinflated when illegal aliens are taken into account. At least it's true for Vegas. I assume it's the same for that place in Mexifornia, too.
Then when the daily influx of tourists is added, the count for Vegas can very well go over 2 million. That is one huge place that I don't like any more.
We need to get a Republican governor with some guts in here!
Agree with you there. The state taxes and business taxes are an albatross around the state's neck. And we are being choked!

Suffolk Va. and Currituck Co. NC are listed because of everyone fleeing Norfolk and Portsmouth. Soon, I expect Southampton County to be on the list. The property assestment has soared on my home in Va. Beach, and my family and I are selling and moving to Hertford Co. NC at the end of next month. I refuse to continue to pay out more in taxes to Va. Beach while getting nothing in return (such as more police) while the city council throws money around to all their developer friends for stupid projects.
The town we live in is so small you'd describe it as more like a village(not Hillary's kind), and we're in no man's land. But the liberal city folks want out of the high price, high rise, high crime of their metro's and want a more rural lifestyle(although they always seem to bring along their "ideals" that made the big cities what they are in the first place).
Although we live in a strong blue state, our county has been overwhelmingly Republican. I fear this is about to change. Most all individuals moving into our communities are flaming liberals. I wouldn't be surprised if the political/economic landscape changes dramatically, and for the worst within the next 2 yrs.
I have to drive close to an hr. N just see the dr.(town of approx. 10,000) The other day while having the ol' eyes checked I noticed a coffee shop in town. Been there for a few yrs. Obviously new age crowd. Well, the owner decided to erect flags in front of the store. Germany, Mexico, France, Italy, and the U.N. NO AMERICAN FLAG! Need I say more.
But, Gramps...didn't you hear?
OR now has the SECOND highest rate of unemployment.
It's no longer in first place in that category.
The media is reporting this as though we hit the jackpot.
The treehuggin' root suckers love the no growth policy.
Loudoun is also only minutes from the Loudoun/Fairfax Dulles tech corridor, which now has more tech jobs than Simi Valley. In fact, most people living in Loudoun, do not commute to DC, though it is only 35 miles to DC. Most commute into Fairfax or Arlington County.
Lloudoun is also the World headquarters for MCI -- which should be interesting given the take-over news. The MCI "Campus," employees thousands of people, and it is biger than most small cities.
Recently, one expert said that even if Verizon bought MCI and closed that Campus, it would be a "blip" on the Real Estate Market in Loudoun.
My wife and I live in Arlington Virginia -- on some of the pricest dirt in the Country. But we just bought in Loudoun because we get much more house -- even if prices there are high too.
Yeah, it sure looks like it's happening to VA.
