Does Free Republic and Jim Robinson ban those who disagree with them? asks The Conservative Voice.
Most all of the posters seek "Anonymity" when replying to the question raised on The Conservative Voice website: Is Free Republic Biased?
Nathan Tabor, Senior Editor and webmaster, moderates this running "Topic of the Day" and everyday discussion.
One "Anonymous" poster writes: "Re: Is Free Republic Biased? Biased? Well, since the site is dominated by paid party operatives and federal employees who allow no dissent from the Bush regime's latest political propaganda releases, you could say that it's more a solid, one way amen corner for the neoconservative cabal than a biased website."
Still another "Anonymous" poster writes:"Re: Is Free Republic Biased? They banned me for complaining about losing my career to outsourcing. They taunted and gloated with perverse kitty pictures, infantile cartoons, and guttural remarks that reveal their mentality. The flames fanned by their hatred are now licking at their heels."
ALIPAC also posts the subject: Conservative Website FREE REPUBLIC Mutinies over Bush Comments" and notes: "With reports coming in from around the nation of a split in the conservative base over the Bush amnesty and open borders plans, the nations most frequented conservative website erupted into a mutiny against Bush policies on Thursday. This article below elicited the response. Please take the time to read this article and the comments of many conservatives that are dismayed by Bush's statements about the Minuteman Project on FreeRepublic.com As many of you know, Free Republic had made previous efforts to control the debate by purging immigration reform users."
What seems to be a fledgling conservative based site, The Conservative Voice appears to seek readership through indexed forums dedicated to the Mother Bird herself, Free Republic. If you were wondering what happens to those little birds that fall or are kicked out of the FR nest (which I know you do not, but makes my play on words work); you might find some of them under the Free Republic Indexed forums over on The Conservative Voice.
In fact, it's the dog who is really a perv, but I think one of the cats might be gay.
LOL
"Simply look at any thread that concerns drug legalization, border control or religion and you will find some pretty spirited arguments. People who agree don't fight over the issues."
Look at a dem forum. The first poster puts up some virulent hate comment and it is followed by 50-100 "Me too" replys.
Having no bias is an unprovable negative. FR doesn't claim to be above the fray, it specifically says that it defends the American conservative perspective within the marketplace of ideas.Anyone who asks whether someone else is "biased" is embedding the planted axiom that they themselves are not biased. That is, at most, an unprovable negative - and often a provably false proposition. Just because a proposition could never be proven even if it were true is no sign that is is true - or that it could never be proven false!

No kidding. One of the DUmmies started a thread about arming himself for the "coming civil war" and got all kinds of recruits.
Welcome to Free Republic!
Free Republic is the premiere online gathering place for independent, grass-roots conservatism on the web. We're working to roll back decades of governmental largesse, to root out political fraud and corruption, and to champion causes which further conservatism in America. And we always have fun doing it. Hoo-yah!
This is the mission statement and the first paragraph on FR's homepage. Anyone who has to ask if there is any bias here probably belongs on another website.
Who?...What?...Where?... Seriously, what a great way to get hits on your fledgling website. I am on my way over.
PS, I would like to state unequivacably that I am not a crook...er federal government employee, nor do I receive a paycheck from anyone.
PPS, No offense to any federal government employee at this site.
Does this mean you're famous, or does it mean you infamous?
;-)
"...the same guy banned last week for calling others "nazi's"?
Yes. We tolerate dissent, but not the incorrect use of an apostrophe.
It's called Freedom of Expression with those who like debate and discussion. I'm proud to be in this exclusive group of voices that speak the truth and DARE to challenge the MSM. And...it's sure gotten the attention of others cause it IS powerful and has made a HUGE difference in a lot of things. Go Freepers!!!

Are you still out of the medium size shirts? I'm still waiting for mine.
They're all right when dipped in fry sauce.
LMAO!
You owe me a new keyboard. Coffee all over this one.
!!!
"I was ZOTTED by the Viking Kitties, and all I got was this T-shirt".
The answer, as far as I can tell, is a resounding NO!
Views run the political spectrum, but seem mostly to be Republican / Conservative. If there is a bias, it is among the posters themselves and who pick and choose which articles to place and or comment upon.
Good Grief ! The last post on that thread was date 2/26/2005.
how about something timely....we only have a 40 second attention span, you know.
