Does Free Republic and Jim Robinson ban those who disagree with them? asks The Conservative Voice.
Most all of the posters seek "Anonymity" when replying to the question raised on The Conservative Voice website: Is Free Republic Biased?
Nathan Tabor, Senior Editor and webmaster, moderates this running "Topic of the Day" and everyday discussion.
One "Anonymous" poster writes: "Re: Is Free Republic Biased? Biased? Well, since the site is dominated by paid party operatives and federal employees who allow no dissent from the Bush regime's latest political propaganda releases, you could say that it's more a solid, one way amen corner for the neoconservative cabal than a biased website."
Still another "Anonymous" poster writes:"Re: Is Free Republic Biased? They banned me for complaining about losing my career to outsourcing. They taunted and gloated with perverse kitty pictures, infantile cartoons, and guttural remarks that reveal their mentality. The flames fanned by their hatred are now licking at their heels."
ALIPAC also posts the subject: Conservative Website FREE REPUBLIC Mutinies over Bush Comments" and notes: "With reports coming in from around the nation of a split in the conservative base over the Bush amnesty and open borders plans, the nations most frequented conservative website erupted into a mutiny against Bush policies on Thursday. This article below elicited the response. Please take the time to read this article and the comments of many conservatives that are dismayed by Bush's statements about the Minuteman Project on FreeRepublic.com As many of you know, Free Republic had made previous efforts to control the debate by purging immigration reform users."
What seems to be a fledgling conservative based site, The Conservative Voice appears to seek readership through indexed forums dedicated to the Mother Bird herself, Free Republic. If you were wondering what happens to those little birds that fall or are kicked out of the FR nest (which I know you do not, but makes my play on words work); you might find some of them under the Free Republic Indexed forums over on The Conservative Voice.
Well we all know the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
I checked back quickly and I mean quick! (searches) and found a few mentions in March. Nevertheless, I agree this site cannot be a recruiting station for the Minutemen.
Thanks
Why does this line make you sound like a proctologist?
The subject is disenfranchised trolls.
The main reason Gheen was banned was for repeatedly linking to his own forum. In a word? Self promotion. Nathan Tabor did the same thing: promoted himself over and over again, link after link.
Your thread and your posts here promote their two stupid sites repeatedly. Apparently you are unaware of the "link effect" that you are creating. I doubt you are intending to promote their sites.
This is the crux of the problem: post after post linking to other forums.
Are you aware that google search ranking is based primarily on the number of links to a site? Are you aware of the ramifications of repeatedly posting links to a different site?
I think I heard the term for my "wing" of "conservatives"... "Southpark Conservatives" rather than "Norman Rockwell Conservatives," heard it this AM on Bill Bennett's radio show.
I'm just glad he is not allowed here. His crazy group ALIPAC has hounded elected officials in North Carolina and pushed 9 of them to drop their names from a bill that would allow the children of illegal immigrants to attend college at in-state tuition rates.
I have serious doubts about someone like Gheen that would deprive poor children of a chance to go to college over something that their parents did.
I really appreciate all of the information and help I'm finding here at Free Republic. ClintonBeGone helped me get in touch with El Pueblo and their lobbyist who are trying to get this bill passed and to get licenses for illegal immigrants to improve safety. They are having to deal with Gheen and I want to help.
You're putting us on, right?
Good try, but ALIPAC really cannot take the credit for pushing "9 of them to drop their names" from the bill.
Good try, though. ROFLOL
I can buy into charges of Gheen's and Tabor's egoism, although the specific nature of it is different as night and day. I cannot buy into anything that feeds the illegal immigration apologists' cause.
That's what the lobbyist ClintonBeGone told me to contact said. Just repeating what I was told.
I had never even heard the name of Nathan Tabor til I came across this story. At the beginning of this piece, I along with others got an education on this person.
It has been FR's choice to keep it on top and running for those days. If you have a problem talk to Jim. I can't be bothered with your snide rhetoric. This is not what I am on FR for, to banter crap with someone of your ilk.Take the time to read, then you might not attempt your slanderous remarks.
Which lobbyist is this?
Friends don't let friends opus.
We don't need another opus-cide!
Repeated links..LOL
Ramifications..LOL
Since when do you tell anyone where to go or not to go.
I don't think what is available on those sites is going to entice any FReeper to become a member. As I said, before, the same dog and pony show seems to prevail.
What time do you get off duty from your Thought Patrol?
; have a nice night
"I received several threatening messages, but I don't hoist it up as a distraction to the debate," he said. Gheen said he was not aware that two of the 57 groups linked to his organization's Web site have been labeled hate groups by the Southern Poverty Law Center, a Montgomery, Ala.-based group that tracks racist organizations throughout the nation. He said he will more carefully scrutinize the groups. "It's not hateful to want to have your immigration laws enforced," he said. "They're blowing smoke because that's all they got."
Goes to poor judgement. He's young. If only he had someone more mature on board... (hint, hint).
Mmm, tasty koolaid. Is that the Jonestown flavor?
I'm an RN...no one is paying me to post here!
