Does Free Republic and Jim Robinson ban those who disagree with them? asks The Conservative Voice.
Most all of the posters seek "Anonymity" when replying to the question raised on The Conservative Voice website: Is Free Republic Biased?
Nathan Tabor, Senior Editor and webmaster, moderates this running "Topic of the Day" and everyday discussion.

One "Anonymous" poster writes: "Re: Is Free Republic Biased? Biased? Well, since the site is dominated by paid party operatives and federal employees who allow no dissent from the Bush regime's latest political propaganda releases, you could say that it's more a solid, one way amen corner for the neoconservative cabal than a biased website."
Still another "Anonymous" poster writes:"Re: Is Free Republic Biased? They banned me for complaining about losing my career to outsourcing. They taunted and gloated with perverse kitty pictures, infantile cartoons, and guttural remarks that reveal their mentality. The flames fanned by their hatred are now licking at their heels."
ALIPAC also posts the subject: Conservative Website FREE REPUBLIC Mutinies over Bush Comments" and notes: "With reports coming in from around the nation of a split in the conservative base over the Bush amnesty and open borders plans, the nations most frequented conservative website erupted into a mutiny against Bush policies on Thursday. This article below elicited the response. Please take the time to read this article and the comments of many conservatives that are dismayed by Bush's statements about the Minuteman Project on FreeRepublic.com As many of you know, Free Republic had made previous efforts to control the debate by purging immigration reform users."
What seems to be a fledgling conservative based site, The Conservative Voice appears to seek readership through indexed forums dedicated to the Mother Bird herself, Free Republic. If you were wondering what happens to those little birds that fall or are kicked out of the FR nest (which I know you do not, but makes my play on words work); you might find some of them under the Free Republic Indexed forums over on The Conservative Voice.

They taunted and gloated with perverse kitty pictures, infantile cartoons, and guttural remarks that reveal their mentality.I represent that to the highest degree.

Thirty seconds isn't enough to judge a site, BUT -- I clicked under "Is Jeff Gannon wrong or right?", and just the first burst of postings indicated there seems to be no conservative control there whatever. If I want to see liberal hatevomit, I can go anywhere. I'm happy for SOME controls, and SOME Viking Kitty patrolling, or we'd be completely overwhelmed. I checked out that thread too. Talk about a half thought vanity. Might explain why they don't like FRee Republic.

My checks are getting lost in the mail apparently...where do I go to correct this? Have you moved lately? Check with your Post Office. :p

Agapepress.org (posted on TCV) is a Christian source new site..and to that is what I referenced for "good articles".
I, of course, differentiate between TVC reader comments and the before mentioned Agapepress articles. I was trying to abstain from being an attack dog when writing the article. That was left to the FR readers to investigate and decide.

Howlin, you're the poster child of paid Freepers. I've heard about your million dollar house and your fleet of Hummers, all paid for by the White House.
Why on earth do you need FOUR Hummers??

Show me a Forum , which is not biased.
Opinions are, by definition, subjective, therefore - biased.

"However, the depth of hate that site (Democratic Talk radio) has for anyone who is a Republican or a Conservative is so deep, that those who do espouse those feelings could be considered to be psychologically disturbed."
There are people here on FR that post like they are psychologically disturbed.

I think it unfortunate that Gheen has decided to make personal attacks on FR and Jim Robinson, especially since ALIPAC's message is something most FReepers tend to agree with. However, in the early going, Jim and the mods made some serious mistakes regarding ALIPAC and the Minuteman Project. They tied ALIPAC and MMP to organizations like Storm Front solely on the basis that those organizations approved of parts of ALIPAC's and MMP's message. I think if both sides backed down from the chest-thumping for a few minutes, they would find they have more in common than they do differences.
As for Nathan Tabor, everyone who named him a spoiled brat has it exactly right. He got bounced from FR, not once, but several times, mostly for trolling the NC board under several nicknames. I have talked to Tabor several times during and since the primary last year. He is alternately a crybaby and a conman who can spout just enough conservative and quasi-evangelical lingo to pass himself off as one or both to those who are inclined to be trusting.
Is FR biased? Of course it is. It says so right on the front page. So what's the point? The only thing I would wish different would be that they go easier on the bannings. I always enjoyed having a few liberals with at least a partially functioning cerebral cortex around to beat up on (figuratively speaking, of course).

There are people here on FR that post like they are psychologically disturbed. True enough.
I could make a joke about it, in regards to the anal retentive, perfectionist types who have to point out any typo, misspelling or grammatical error. The there are, of course the "double posting" nazi's, who are in a league of their own. But what I am referring to is an overall trend and preponderance of postings and not isolated individuals.
In that regard, we here at FR do not hold a candle to those at the sites I was referring to.

The same handful of grievance-nursers repeating their specious claims carries no weight with me. A skeptical eye is in order.

We did not do the "newest posts first". There lies our problem at the onset.
