Many of the Pope thread I had pinged you to, were talking about the "Olive" meaning maybe a hispanic cardinal and we breathed a collective sigh of relief until I heard the name he had chosen!
- the Olivetons were St. Benedict's order
-"De Gloria Olivae/From the Glory of the Olives: The Order of Saint Benedict has claimed that this pope will come from their ranks. Only problem is, that Benedict is not O.S.B or Order of St Benedict.
He did however, choose Benedict as his papal name out of honor to St Benedict, the founder of the order. Therefore, I would assume if he did a good job and it did in fact "honor" St Benedict with his service to God, it would be to the "Glory" of the Olivitans.
