look at New York City's Intelligence Division, which was started after Sept. 11 and is housed in a secret location in the city.

I suspect more will follow this example. Too many incidents appear to be falling into the cracks and never to be heard about again (and probably involve no follow-up to officials in the jurisdictions in which they occurred).

"information found in a car at one of the hospitals indicated one of the men was on the FBI Terror Watch List"

People like this FBI Terror Watch List inductee hanging out at hospitals might make an emergency trip to the hospital much more of an emergency than either the patient or the hospital ever anticipated. Wonder how many other hospitals they entered in which they were NOT detected.

What do you think they are trying to do in those hospitals? Gain info about how to sabotage treatment? Plant supergerms? Why aren't these intruders being arrested and questioned......?

Congress' Government Accountability Office reported in March that, mainly because of gun owners' privacy rights, the FBI or state officials were unable to stop 47 of the 58 gun purchases by people who were on the FBI's own terrorist "watch list" (during a nine-month period last year).

A February report of the Department of Homeland Security's inspector general accused the agency of intentionally disbursing seaport-security grant money widely across the country instead of greatly increasing inspections at the 10 ports through which nearly 80 percent of trade moves (a practice that resulted in maritime grants for Oklahoma, Kentucky, New Hampshire and Tennessee).
