The Threat Matrix

The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.

"Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix."

We here at FR are trying to be in conjunction with the daily reports around the world that involve threats. We try to provide a storehouse of information that takes hours of research.

We now know more about an alleged attack that triggered an increased national threat level last summer.

That's when U.S. officials said they had uncovered a plot targeting financial institutions. The plot involved bombs, banks and British nationals.

The detail was startling, the targets enormous. They included financial buildings in Washington, New York and New Jersey.

Homeland Security Department arrested 57 illegal immigrants last month working at airports and other risk-sensitive facilities around the United States

These 57 are the ones caught. What about those still among us working in sensitive jobs/areas who have not yet been apprehended? Will we ever hear of those risk-sensitive facilities being fined or publicly acknowledged for having hired illegals? Doubtful!

ARTICLE SNIPPET: "TIJUANA – Some U.S. law enforcement officials weren't amused with a cartoon published in Mexican newspapers this month depicting a reward of $10,000 for an FBI or DEA agent.

In the cartoon, a drug trafficker stands near the reward sign. He's quoted as saying, "Let's see what type of hide yields more belts." The hide presumably refers to the skin of the agents.

Cartoonist Osvaldo Muñoz Aceves said the drawing was his dark-humored response to recent demonstrations along the Arizona border against illegal immigration."
