ATHENS, May 27 (Reuters) - A home-made explosive device went off late
on Friday outside the offices of a major construction company in Athens
causing no injuries after a warning call to a newspaper, police said.
The makeshift bomb was placed in a flowerpot outside the offices of the
AVAX construction company but police had cordoned off the area around
the building following an anonymous call to the Eleftherotypia
newspaper.
"The device included a clock but it was only of minor strength,"
Dozens of small self-styled anarchist groups stage similar attacks in
central Athens. In the past weeks police have repeatedly clashed with
anarchists during demonstrations and more than 100 suspects were detained
by police last week after an anarchists' rally turned violent.
You're welcome and enjoy the long weekend!
The last line, tells us what to expect in the future.

UK 'may renew Hamas links'
May 27, 2005
http://www.jewishtelegraph.co.uk/world_1.html
BRITAIN was this week reported to be planning to renew contacts with
Hamas.
This follows the terror group's impressive showing in recent
Palestinian municipal elections, says the Tel Aviv website Israel Insider. Israel
is reported to be demanding clarification from Britain over the
reports.
The website claims that senior British officials have confirmed that
London is rethinking its approach to the terrorist group.
But foreign secretary Jack Straw recently told his Israeli counterpart
Silvan Shalom that Britain would not modify its attitude towards Hamas.
And a senior official in London has said that Britain would not engage
in talks with groups that are involved in terror or who do not accept
Israel's existence.
Foreign minister deputy director Gideon Meir said any contacts with
Hamas are certain to be counter-productive.
Shuli Davidovich, press secretary at the Israeli embassy in London,
told the Jewish Telegraph: "Hamas and Hezbollah continue to engage in
terror and believe in the destruction of the State of Israel.
"Europe should demand that they abandon their violent activities and
not give them the international legitimacy which they are seeking."
Meanwhile, a Hamas spokesman in Gaza, Mushir al-Masri, claimed the
group recently met British and US officials.
"We'll maintain a dialogue with any element in the world with the
exception of Israel," he said.
Will do and in progress...smiling...
We sure are. King Fahd is now doing well AND being reported dead.
Looks to me that the ring is on the woman's finger in that pic.
>>>And we gave them 50 million more yesterday, so they can still operate<<<
Turns my stomach to think that part of my paycheck is going to support suicide bombers.
As of now, the reaction is deny...lie....deceive.
Well, now that's a thought!
Will have to keep searching on that one.
LOL. YUmmy, pork ribs.
DITTO.
However, I was taught that there is no such thing as a dangerous weapon, only dangerous people. Then of course there there is the other truism: That the only deadly weapon resides between your ears. In which case the liberals are unarmed! This we've always known.
Would the truth please step forward??????

Comment:
Can President Bush, in good faith, now criticize The Minutemen, who might be providing a supporting role as average, fed up and concerned citizens, in the War on Terrorism by actually DOING SOMETHING at the local level despite his naysaying and criticism??

According to the Las Vegas news, there was a good sized power outage today. Most of the info came from the traffic report, but several offices and the Police Department were on generators.
All traffic lights in the area out and several thousand homes.
I do not know if that was the problem with the KDWN radio reception.
Cause was said to be a "relay switch".....
