FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
OPERATION NEW MARKET CONTINUES IN AL ANBAR PROVINCE
CAMP BLUE DIAMOND, Iraq Marines and Sailors from Regimental Combat Team 2 and members of the Iraqi Security Forces continue Operation New Market in and around the city of Haditha.
Terrorists attacked Marines and ISF forces May 25 with small arms fire at 4 a.m. in central Haditha. Six terrorists were killed in the battle and two Marines were wounded. Local citizens identified one of the attackers killed as an imam. The imam was firing on Marines and ISF with an AK-47 assault rifle.

"Insurgents Use Dogs as Suicide Bombs"
By Cihan News Agency
Published: Thursday 26, 2005
zaman.com
ARTICLE SNIPPET: "Iraqi insurgents are now using dogs as suicide bombs after thus far using road side explosives and car bombs.
In the town of Dakus, 40 kilometers south of Kerkuk (Kirkuk), explosives were tied around a dog's body and detonated when a military convoy passed by on the road."

He confirmed to the newspaper that a meeting was held last June between Al-Zarqawi and a Lebanese fugitive, Emad Mughania, at one of Al-Quds corps centers in Kermanshah providence in western Iran. The source said Mughania played an influential role in forming the Al-Mahdi Army. Al-Mahdi Army belongs to the strict Shia religious cleric, Muqtada Al-Sadr, and trains its members in camps inside Iran. He also mentioned the entrance of Shia fighters from Lebanon to Iraq dressed as religious studies students. These fighters then join Al-Madi Army under the supervision of Emad Mughania. Mughania underwent a cosmetic surgery recently in a sanitarium for the revolutionary guards in northern Iran to change his face. This is the 5th surgery for Mughania, who's been chased by Western and Arabic intelligence organizations for a number of years now. The source said Mughania kept his relationships with Aymen Al-Thawahiri, the number-two man in Al-Qaida organization despite the difficulty of contacting him lately. He added that Mughania submitted a report early this year to chief of the revolutionary guards intelligence after a visit to Iraq. The report outlined the importance of expanding a framework of collaboration between Al-Mahdi Army and Al-Zarqawi's group. Muqtada has lost his standing among the Iraqi shia, especially Al-Najaf, while gaining more supporters in the Sunni triangle.")

Davey, your falcon link in 3623 is very interesting.
Glad you pinged me to it.
In the past, Cal pretty well dug into the fact that diseases and germs could be transported by the birds, via the way it would shed off the wings.
Passing messages of course.
And the fact that there is more than likely a cell of terrorists with the code name of Falcon.
It does give one a chance to set the mind free and attempt to guess at the meaning of it all.
Not difficult to understand the connection to the web site, as the "Save the Falcon" group will be marching in the streets with the muslims at the next protest.

UK: Housewife, others face terror charges
A housewife getting involved with jihad. This is more confirmation of a point I have often made: that jihadists are inseparable from the larger Muslim population. There is no reliable way to identify them within it until they do something. "City trio face terrorist charges at Old Bailey," from the Coventry Observer, with thanks to Jeffrey Imm:
A HOUSEWIFE and two city men look set to stand trial next year on charges of providing weapons and funds to a terrorist group.
Frzana Khan, a 41-year-old housewife from Anthony Way, Stoke, Mohammed Ajmal Khan, 30, of Broad Street, Foleshill, and Palvinder Singh, 29, of Freeman Street, Foleshill, face charges of conspiring to provide money and firearms to Kashmiri separatist group Lashkar-e-Tayyiba.

A national summit about illegal immigration scheduled for this weekend at Cashman Center has aroused the rage of a coalition of Hispanic groups, who are calling organizers of the event "Nazi white supremacist(s)."

Yes, a likely scenario.
OK, here is one of the Falcon groups that I found, and you won't like the other info in the article, as I just heard our President say he was giving Palestine 50 million dollars on the news.
"Fighter in the Falcons of the Martyr-Commander Raeed Karmi--named the much lionized local leader of the
Al Aqsa Martyrs Bridgade (Palestine)
Also mentions the Black September Group.

None of those Internet postings and rumors have been confirmed, but the amount of speculation about the Jordanian-born militant has been unusual both in size and scope.
It identified Abu Hafs al-Gerni as deputy of the holy warriors.
Al-Gernis identity was not immediately clear, but the new statement said he was known for carrying out the hardest operations, and our sheik would choose him and his group for the tough operations.
Another Web site statement signed in the name of Al Qaeda in Iraqs so-called spokesman, Abu Maysara al-Iraqi, denied the militant group had appointed a deputy to fill in for al-Zarqawi.
We deny all that has been said about appointing the so-called Abu Hafs or anyone by any other name, said the statement, the authenticity of which could not be verified.
Middle East experts on Islamic militants told The Associated Press that the man said to be the new deputy leader is a Saudi who has been al-Zarqawis military adviser and is the emir, or prince as senior commanders are called of the military committe of Al Qaeda in Iraq.
The two experts spoke on condition they not be further identified. An aide to Abdul Aziz Al-Hakim, head of the countrys largest political party, the Supreme Council for the Islamic Revolution in Iraq, said al-Gerni was a non-Iraqi and a key lieutenant to al-Zarqawi.
We are not sure 100 percent that al-Zarqawi is dead and we cant consider this step as a confirmation for his killing, said Haitham al-Hussaini, director of al-Hakims office.
According to our intelligence, this al-Gerni is well known to us as one of al-Zarqawis top aides in Iraq who has an Arab nationality, al-Hussaini said without elaborating on which country al-Gerni came from.
SCIRI has close ties with Iraqs intelligence agencies and the countrys minister, Bayan Jabr, is a top member of the Shiite party.
Rasha al-Tayar, spokesman for the national security minister, said he had not heard of al-Gernis name nor had any details on the status of al-Zarqawi.
The latest statement again urged Muslims to pray for al-Zarqawi, saying: We will go on in our way of Jihad until victory or martyrdom and we call upon Muslims to pray for the Mujahedeen and for the safety of our sheik.
It was signed off in the name of Abu Doujanah al-Tunisi of the media committee of Al Qaeda in Iraq. Al-Tunisi was not a familiar name signing off such statements.
Al-Zarqawi is believed to be backed by Islamic extremists who have entered Iraq from neighboring countries. Iraq has called on its neighbors, particularly Syria, to stop foreign fighters entering Iraq to clash with U.S. and Iraqi security forces.
BAGHDAD A Web site statement posted Thursday and signed in the name of Al Qaeda in Iraq said the militant group has appointed a deputy to take the lead until Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, whos purportedly been wounded, returns. But a subsequent statement by the groups spokesman denied any replacement had been named.
The leaders met after the injury of our sheik, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi ... and decided to appoint a deputy to take the lead until the return of our sheik, said the statement, which was posted on a militant Web site that two days earlier announced al-Zarqawi had been injured.
The latest statements, the authenticity of which could not be verified, follow recent rumors and claims that al-Zarqawi has been wounded, possibly by a bullet penetrating his lung, may have been taken out of Iraq for medical care, or had possibly died.
