F-16s Escorting Small Plane From D.C. Air Space
Monday, May 23, 2005 | Kristinn

WJLA-TV in Washington, D.C. just broke in with a report that a small plane is being escorted out of D.C. restricted air space. This does not appear to be of the same threat level as the plane scare two weeks ago. The fighter jets flew over the area at a much higher altitude as before. However, they did make a lot of constant rumbling as they circled around the north side of D.C.

Communications trucks will soon blanket the state
5/14/2005, 6:56 a.m. ET
The Associated Press
CHILLICOTHE, Ohio (AP) Within the next month, the first of 11 mobile communications trucks will be stationed around Ohio to assist law enforcement agencies during emergencies.
The diesel-powered trucks each cost $440,000. They were paid for with federal Homeland Security Act grants.
The vehicles are expected to help police and other officials communicate and better respond to flooding, ice storms, tornadoes, major crashes, terrorist attacks or other disasters.
They give law-enforcement officials the ability to access the Internet, fax, copy, print digital photographs and, maybe most important, put officials from across the state on the same radio frequencies so they can easily communicate. There is a conference room in the truck, and space for a crime lab.
The first 9-ton truck will be based in Ross County and should be ready to work by June 6.
"You're looking at the cutting edge of technology sitting right here," Ross County Sheriff Ron Nichols said Friday as law enforcement agencies unveiled the trucks.
The 10 other trucks are expected to be operating by the end of the year. Once they are in place, nearly 97 percent of Ohio's population will be within 50 miles of a truck, officials said.
During disasters, counties now go through the Emergency Management Agency for assistance, and must navigate red tape to get it. With the new trucks, counties can call their truck's base and expect help within an hour or two saving what could be precious time.
"I can't stress enough the value of something like this regionally," said Nancy Dragani, director of Ohio's EMA.

Joy Junction Web Site Hacked and Obliterated: Shelter Director Suspects Terrorist Activity
Long time Albuquerque resident Jeremy Reynalds is best known for his work with Joy Junction, the shelter for homeless families he founded in 1986 and continues to direct.
However, there's another side of Reynalds that is not quite as well known as a terrorist hunter.
For almost the last three years Reynalds has investigating and writing about a number of Islamic terrorist web sites, many of which are hosted by American Internet Service Providers.
Last year CNN profiled his work on the Anderson Cooper show, and a few months ago he was mentioned in a column by CNN Senior Investigative Producer Henry Schuster (www.cnn.com/2005/US/02/08/schuster.column).
Earlier this year Reynalds was also the subject of a death threat by radical jihadis (http://haganah.org.il/harchives/003608.html ).
Now Joy Junction's web site has been hacked by individuals so proficient that the entire account has been wiped off the computer server on which it was housed.
Reynalds said he suspects terror activity.
"The simple fact is that these guys are not happy when I write articles exposing their hateful agenda," he said. "Who else could it have been?"
"Our web host will launch an investigation on their own," Reynalds added. "But ...these were not script kiddies (amateur hackers), they were pros. And they likely did not leave behind much for us to work with."
Reynalds said while he cannot definitively say it was a terror attack against Joy Junction's web site, he has a message for those individuals whom he dubbed "radical jihadi thugs" who engage in cyber crimes.
"You have picked the wrong person to try and intimidate," Reynalds said. "Death threats and web site hacking just further serve to strengthen my resolve to fight terrorism."

Pakistan is an official terrorist sponsor, admits gitmo jihadi

A Pakistani detainee in Guantanamo Bay has exposed Islamabad's official sponsorship of terrorism in depositions before a US tribunal.
The unnamed prisoner, accused of being a member of the Lashkar-e-Tayyiba, has referred to the fighting in Kashmir and said it was backed by Pakistan, the US' frontline ally in the war on terrorism.
"If you consider this organization a terrorist organization, then you should consider the Pakistan government a terrorist country," he says in a deposition obtained by the Associated Press wire service under a Freedom of Information lawsuit.
The excerpt comes from nearly 2,000 pages of documents representing some 558 tribunals held in Guantanamo Bay, according to AP.
The detainee's testimony implicating Islamabad is important because Lashkar is one of several Pakistani organisations designated by the US State Department as Foreign Terrorist Organisations (FTOs) and its sponsors are subject to action under the UN Security Council Resolution No.1373 against terrorism.
Although the intelligence community in India and the US believe organisations such as Lashkar and Jaish-e-Mohammed were officially sponsored by Pakistan, Islamabad has maintained a degree of deniability. Islamabad's policy in the regard is common knowledge in Pakistan and has frequently been reported in the Pakistani media.
AP's effort has also brought to light other confusions and contradictions in the US war on terror, revealed through the Gitmo depositions.
Among the detainees in Guantanamo Bay identified in the AP report are an Afghan chicken farmer accused of being a Taliban, a goatherd who was captured near a mined area when he was looking for his goats, and a Saudi fruit merchant visiting Pakistan.

From Abi Oussayd Al 3Iraqi
From our Sheikh Abi Mouss'ab Az-Zarqawi, Emir of the military wing of the Organization of Al Qaeda of Jihad in the Land of the Two Rivers
Allah rewards us these last days by allowing us to strike the strongholds of the unbelievers and their henchmen and the Praise returns to Allah.
And today, the sight and the heart of Mouwahid rejoices at each occasion that the Crusaders are killed by the corps who have sold their lives to Allah. That Allah grant you his mercy and that he accepts you among the Martyrs and that he gathers us together with you.
Therefore the Apostate Roubay'i hardly benefited from his bodyguards and his equipment.. Allah is on the lookout for the apostates and for tyrants.
Misfortune to you, o enemies of Allah, your reward will be a sharp sword.

AMMAN, Jordan(AP)
An alleged terrorist on trial for a conspiracy targeting the U.S. and Israeli embassies claimed Monday that terror masterminds Osama bin Laden and Abu Musab al-Zarqawi would soon set up a Muslim caliphate state.
Abed al-Tahawi's made the statement in brief remarks to reporters before the military court convened to hear the prosecution sum up its case in his trial.
"Although they accuse them of being terrorists, the heroes Osama bin Laden and Abu Musab Zarqawi will come back to the scene soon to set up an Islamic caliphate state," he said.
Al-Tahawi, 50, and 15 other men including one at large who being tried in absentia are charged with conspiring to carry out terrorist attacks and possessing automatic rifles. If convicted on both counts, the defendants could face the death penalty.
The hearing was adjourned until next Monday when the defense begins.
