I saved them to my HD... watched the 2 shorter ones and skimmed through the longer ones. I still have lots of holes in my vocabulary, so I don't understand much yet. Learning Arabic is a verrrry slow process... I'm hoping to spend some time overseas during Grad School, that should be a good way to put it all together quicker.
What a promising life you have created, proud to know you Ian!
Did bin Laden Escape Because of Female Warriors?
For those on Capitol Hill, the Pentagon and at the White House who think that women in land combat is a ho-hum non-issue, there is strong evidence the U.S. lost the opportunity to capture or kill Osama bin Laden because of politically correct Pentagon policies to have more female warriors.
Here is how the story unfolds:

Thanks -- I saw the original post, when the flight was delayed on account of it, but didn't see the follow up, i.e. that it wasn't any.
I think that we probably only find out about 2% of what happens, for multiple reasons -- so as not to alert the terrorists and to not panic people.
SV has been posting Daily Terrorist Round up thread in the News area.
I am sure many of you are also interested. Here is the latest one:

If you want to be on his ping list for that, send SV a FReepmail.
I also suggested to him to post a link to his thread here too, because I am sure many of you are interested and can even contribute additional details about a lot of stories.
This part caught my eye also:
...Iran has surprised intelligence analysts by describing the mid-flight detonations of missiles fired from ships on the Caspian Sea as "successful" tests. North Korea exports missile technology around the world; Scuds can easily be purchased on the open market for about $100,000 apiece.
A terrorist organization might have trouble putting a nuclear warhead "on target" with a Scud, but it would be much easier to simply launch and detonate in the atmosphere. No need for the risk and difficulty of trying to smuggle a nuclear weapon over the border or hit a particular city. Just launch a cheap missile from a freighter in international waters -- al Qaeda is believed to own about 80 such vessels -- and make sure to get it a few miles in the air.
Yep.
I saw that already.
Thanks JP.
OPINION..."Rebels" - no. TERRORISTS - yes.
How tragic!
I hope the gangbanger gets the death penalty and is deported in an urn.
