My Norton is driving me nuts

I've had to uninstall and then reinstall my Norton Internet Security 2004, a total of four times in the last two weeks. I am at my wits end, which for me, isn't too far a journey. Any help on what could possibly be wrong would be greatly appreciated.

Get rid of the breaker points and install a Boyer Bransden ignition. Some people also recommend replacing the Amals with a 40mm single barrel Mikuni, although I never had any problems with the original setup. A mega-cycle high lift cam is a nice addition if you ever get into it far enough to split the cases.

Sound like something you've seen before? I'm the wrong guy to ask on this. I still think computers are the work of the devil.

Both firewalls can't be ran simultaneously. If SP2 is installed, go to your Control Panel, open "Windows Firewall" and choose "Off (Not Recommended)". I don't have SP2, just Windows XP.

Sorry, the last I read it did not. From this
PC World article, McAfee started in November of 2004.

Really?? I'm not having any problems with Norton at all - NEVER. I have MS-XP and Norton 2004. We have the same thing but mine hates me and loves to throw hurdles at me. You must be a nicer person than I am. :-)

I don't have SP2, just Windows XP. Understood. What I meant by that was Windows XP with Service Pack 2 installed. Service Pack 2 comes with a Windows firewall.
Sorry for the confusion.

I was all set to tell you to get a Triumph until I figured out you were complaining about a computer program.

My computer works better than ever! Also, I have added Webroot Spy Sweeper.I've had a couple of anti-spyware programs on here and had to delete them after only a day. This puter was running so slowly I couldn't make a post. It just took too long.

NORTON SUCKS McAfee sucks, Dr. Solomon sucks and Trend-Micro also sucks. I've tried them all and AVG and its sort of (pay) accompanying personal firewall software are fabulous.

I don't know what's happened to Symantec but their home computer products suck. Symantec Client Security When that Symantec Client Security comes up, does it look like it's the old russian letters..SCCSR, something like that. Because if it does, I don't have it, it couldn't load it because of a corruption. That, and a couple of other things wouldn't load because of be corrupted. My Symantec is a headache as well. I don't understand any of this.

This puter was running so slowly I couldn't make a post. It just took too long. You've got other problems dude. And from your posts, your not capable of fixing them due to your experience level. I just love the fact that you think you can poke and prod around the system and click things, yet you don't even know what "a SP2 is". LMAO.
You're only course of action, mainly because you've probably hosed the system by your actions, is a complete reinstall of Windows. And all the evidence points to you and not Norton as the cause.
I sincerely hope no one takes your experience with Norton as evidence for their decision.

These pretzels are making me thirsty. I have some iced tea and diet coke. I have about 20 Coors lite in the bottom of the icebox left over from New years party if that's what you like with pretzels. :-)

Of course, I also use Ad-Aware, Spyware Blaster and Spy-Bot Search and Destroy. I used the free version of AVG for a year or so, but I decided to buy it and the separate personal firewall. I did that because the company has created two great products.

Skip it. It happens with Windows. Just use the setting in Systemworks. Also, uninstall it completly.
