We can discuss and debate animal rights from now until doomsday, but let's face it: The feral cat problem is due to the neglience of others. If people were responsible enough to have their pets spayed and neutered, cats would not be running around like this.

And being a dog and cat lover, this is just too much for me.

Being a dog lover and cat tolerator, and also being an occasional dove and quail hunter, if I see a stray cat out in the woods where I am quail hunting I shoot it.

I have 4 cats and they're all fixed. (Not that they were broken) I firmly believe in spaying and neutering. There are too many unwanted animals. I also live in the state of Wi. I absolutely hate this idea of open season on felines.

What a stupid, cruel plan. This group controls stray cats humanely.

I suggest the supporters of hunting bring a couple of feral cats into the hearing room and toss them at the people in silly costumes clutching their stuffed animals.

Feral cats are not your cuddly little Mr. Whiskers.

I agree 100%. God forbid this county spend money to help the situation and try to eradicate the problem at the beginning...namely getting them fixed. Instead of spending money on this stupid cruel archaic inhumane law....GIVE THE PEOPLE FREE NEUTERING AND SPAYING.

They will never solve the problem otherwise.....

Here's something to think about:

"Wisconin's 2 million wild cats kill 47 million to 139 million songbirds"

Birds only make up about one-fifth of a feral cat's diet. The other four-fifths is small animals, mostly rodents.

That means those two million cats also kill 188 million to 556 million rodents.

I grew up on a farm, and that's why we made sure to keep as many of those feral cats around as possible. Remember what happened in Europe when they started killing cats in the Middle Ages?

Perhaps a modern-day Jonathan Swift could make a modest proposal, considering that Finland wants a wolf hunt

An exchange program, perhaps?

just kidding, folks
