So, does this mean the NY GOP will put up a real candidate against the Beast?
District Attorney Pirro, former Congressman Paxon, Congressman Sweeney, etc., etc...
Arthur Finklestein-the former guru of the D'amato/Pataki machine-is also supposedly working on an independent effort-utilizing the ubiquitous 527 PAC-as a means of ousting Hillary.
I think we should keep our eyes on the ball here.
The point of her reelection campaign is to solidify her standing as the preeminent Democrat in this country.
If she fails to garner a significant margin of victory-say 10 points or more-then her chances of being the nominee in 2008 are virtually nil.
The idea of nominating another NE liberal is unappealing enough. But to nominate one who barely holds sway with a majority of voters within New York state is sheer folly.
I respectfully disagree. As long as she wins NY, she is the nominee in '08. She has put the whole organization together, has visited the troops, has done favors for other RATS, and if anyone gets in her way, he will end up next to a cannon in a park.
An Intergalactic Stop Hitlery Campaign!
This will only give Hillary free publicity and make her look like a victim. They should run on the issues rather than making Hillary an issue. They should spend time and funds pushing GOP candidates and issues rather than spending it tearing the opposition down.
Of course, with Hillary running to the right, and the NY GOP governing to the left, its no wonder they cant run on the issues and/or promote NY GOP candidates.
There should be an organized effort to STOP HILLARY from becoming President. It pays to plan ahead. I started working on Bill Clinton's impeachment in 1991.

Perhaps that's right for New York - but for the rest of the country, Hillary IS the issue.
To defeat Hillary's presidential ambitions (now that we can rule out her Supreme Court nomination), it is necessary to stay on the offensive every day. It doesn't have to be a full-throated attack, but it must be relentless. The most instructive video the GOP could watch to learn about the real Hillary is her rude confrontation against the late Tom McRae in 1990.
I like your idea much better! All life everywhere should be alarmed.
But doesn't she now wear steely ice cold blue demon eye contact lenses?!
It's a losing strategy to make your opposition the issue, rather than run on what you will do in office if elected.
Voters have made their minds up ahead of time about what they think and feel about Hillary. What the voters want to hear from the candidates is what they believe in and what they intend to do.

And Hillary will come back with a video showing Lazio invading her space during the debates.
