I think that's what they mean.

After listening to Jennings inform the terrorists how to
shot down American helicopters (and they did), they must
have meant ".. the terrorist world"

Maybe they should try Michael Savage.

Slick Willie is available (and slightly more conservative than Jennings)

You ask,
"If they can dig up Scheiffer, why not Koppel for the World News?" and I applaud your common sense. It's just too coincidental that Koppel announces he's leaving NIGHTLINE in the same weekly news cycle Jennings announces his disease. We can be sure the honchos at ABCNews knew long before Jennings went public.

Maybe they should try Michael Savage. (wearing my flame retardant suit) I'd like to see Dennis Miller. If the libs can exhalt Jon Stewart to lofty heights, I want Dennis Miller. Never going to happen of course.

Just exactly who will replace one of the great anchors in TV history? Brit Hume is leaving TV?

How about a text to voice synthesizer like the National Weather Service uses for their radio broadcasts. A fitting way to read propaganda.

Just exactly who will replace one of the great anchors in TV history? Something other than a "great anchor." Those days are done.

Headline reads Changes 'World' not 'the' world--Jennings show was called World News I believe.

Just exactly who will replace one of the great anchors in TV history? How can they say that with a straight face? How few newsreaders have their been for the networks "in TV history"?
That's like Clinton standing next to W and Bush I and saying, "I'm one of the best presidents in this room!" Technically it's true, but it's still laughable.
