Hillary backs religious goal in foreign, domestic policy - (beware of Hillary bearing gifts)

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton said yesterday that protecting the freedom to practice religion throughout the world is one of the most important missions of U.S. foreign and domestic policy. But the New York Democrat, in a speech last night on religious liberty and church-state relations, said that goal must include trying to "create a space for nonbelievers" as well. "As we hold up the importance of religious liberty, we have to take both words in that phrase to heart: religion and liberty," she said.
"I think the outpouring of affection and appreciation for John Paul II is a reflection of the yearning that people have to be connected, to believe, to have some greater purpose and meaning in their lives," she said.
She spoke at the annual Religious Freedom dinner, which was held in the Russell Senate Office Building and sponsored by the Seventh-day Adventist Church, the International Religious Liberty Association and Liberty magazine.

If Hillary has "turned the corner," and now believes in any tolerance for anything outside of her far left socialist agenda, then I'm the new Duchess of Cornwall.

Addition quotes and interesting commentary
on this thread. Yours is from a different source, but thought I'd link the two.

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton said yesterday that protecting the freedom to practice religion throughout the world is one of the most important missions of U.S. foreign and domestic policy
In Socialist-speak this means, "Since the mighty American Christian base is so powerful, we must purposely hobble ourselves and subborn any and all core religious and social beliefs to the more 'deserving' philosophies."

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton said yesterday that protecting the freedom to practice religion throughout the world is one of the most important missions of U.S. foreign and domestic policy. She's saying nothing. Anyone short of a hard core fascist or a radical religious fundamentalist would advocate the same thing.

Ask yourself (and all your friends!) this question:
Why is Hillary tacking to the right on most of her policies?
So she can get elected.
Funny how the Left bashes the Right until they need someone to actually VOTE FOR THEM.
God bless all Freepers.

HILLARY was on the side of our Terrorist Enemy
North Vietnam Communist Dictator HO CHI MINH
during the Vietnam War.
Nothing has changed since,
except it's now OUR Freedom that's at stake
here at home
in a new Time of War
in a new Century
with an Enemy that's now just around the corner and...
...up your street.
HILLARY's Anti-U.S. actions getting to be a bit too expensive now, you say..?

Al Gore backed the Buddhists........or were they backing him?
.......and let's not forget that Johnny Kerry suddenly became a very regular church going Catholic somewhere around the midpoint of his pathetic campaign, windsurfing for votes out on Nantucket Sound.

Actually, she just said nothing. She said yes to religion, but at the same time was saying no.
Beware of the great deceiver. She's lieing through her teeth in an attempt to win votes. She's going so far, I don't think she's going to fool anyone with an ounce of common sense.

Hitlary is a lawyer and believes she can argue any "cause" in order to achieve a "victory".
She wants to be president at any cost. Once in office she will do whatever she wants. If congress will not give her the laws she wants then she will use the executive order.
ALL her judges will be cronies.

She voted religion before she voted against it!

This is insulting: ""I think the outpouring of affection and appreciation for John Paul II is a reflection of the yearning that people have to be connected, to believe, to have some greater purpose and meaning in their lives," she said."
Wrong, Hillary. The outpouring was by people who have found faith, and they are not looking for what you are selling.
To: CHARLITE
Did I see a name imprinted on her forehead...LOL.

She doesn't believe this swill she's spewing .. it's just the usual .. WHAT CAN WE SAY TO FOOL THEM TODAY.
