President Bush and the First Lady attended the "majestic" funeral for Pope John Paul II today in Rome. The President and the First Lady, as well as, Poppy Bush are heading for the Ranch as I'm typing this. The President spoke to the Press Pool on the way back from Rome.. It is a must read, I will post a link to the interview
Thanks for the photos, MJY1288!
Lovely!
Hiya!
Your Welcome :-)
Why?
How old is the kitten?
You and I are on the same shelf with nonfiction and biographies, and reading books with big ideas. The latter is my goal. Also, I take the time, when we reach a word I'm pretty sure she doesn't know, to inquire, and if it's new, I explain it.
5 kittens..estimate is about 2 weeks..My daughter and I are tending to them..Full time job..Had to take them to the vet twice for"plumbing problems"..I am getting an education. The darn mother was finally identified, already with gentlemen callers..probably all feral.
No one will take motherless kittens this young...Mom left the kittens in the compost pile.We can't catch her so she may be back ..and leave more. ;(
They will make great pets with all this human affection they are getting.
Oh, wow, you have my sympathies. I rescued one kitten (couldn't get to the others in the dark of night over a fence) whose mommy must have been hit by a car. It was under two weeks, and I had a day job on the other side of town. I came home at lunch and fed it with an eye dropper, fed it all night long ... I was exhausted. My sister found a home for it with a cat which had just given birth and the mom adopted it. That was a relief.
It surely made me appreciate the job a mother cat does.
Mother cat is definitely equipped better than we are!..
Well put Ohio I cannot understand why 2 people have latched on to this IMHO the sunglasses she wore were not over fussy or a fashion statement. They were a reasonable size that would cover the eyes completely which would would help, as you say, with any allergies plus would not allow any peripheral vision/light into the eyes which could possibly cause her to squint or worse have a headache being a contact lens wearer.
Being English do not know what first grade is but it sounds as though it is probably similar to the various stages in our national curriculum so would that be something like 5 - 7 age group?
You are certainly one proud grandpa, I think it is great that children learn computers early it make them unafraid of the technology and so much more confident later when they will have to use them. A friend of mine who I went out for a meal with earlier this week was telling us all that her 5 year at school one of their recent lessons was to take a digital photo, connect the camera to the PC and print the picture out. As they have a PC and digital camera at home he virtually did it all on his own and saw nothing in it which was a contrast to a couple of others in the group who said they would not know where to begin with that task. There are obviously dangers in children using computers intensively at an early age but IMHO if channeled correctly and balanced with other activities I think it is great and can only assist they long term development and opportunities in life.
As much as I am sure your daughter loves to bring them over to you to look after I bet you love it more LOL. Its great you have the opportunity to enjoy them young and see them grow up, God Bless you and sustain you in assisting to be a positive male influence in their lives.
I think also that this has been one of the great things about GWB's presidency he seems to have forged not a great many acquaintances that are often referred to us friends but a core group of genuine friends or people that he can genuinely relate to if not on all issues but certainly on major ones. I would put Tony Blair into that category I am certain there are many points that GWB disagrees with Tony on but Blair's sexual behaviour and WOT policies are 2 things where IMHO there is not much disagreement and common ground would be easy to find.
One of the other great thing about GWB is that he is still friendly with his old friends and that must be very difficult for both. Not only from how do you relate to a friend who is the President but also the security involved means that someone out of his political/governmental/royalty etc circle would have to get used to constant surveillance and intrusion at time they meet it says a lot about the people he has as friends and the strength of the friendship that it continues.
"Step aside, old man."
Love your tagline
That's not the queen, that's the mother from That '70s Show.
What about Pollyanna or is that a bit too young for her?
