I've heard he had a hammer, too.

That's got to be a joke... who doesn't have nails in their basement? People without basements?

He was doing fine living in the woods - he should have stayed there. He wouldn't have received the justice he richly deserved if he had stayed in the woods.

People who use screws? What people do in the privacy of their bedrooms is no concern to me.

Everybody knows it was Richard Jewell. The Atlanta Urinal and Constipation said so!!

I live not too far from where he was captured. I've heard he had help from residents in and around Murphy, even though there was a big reward offered. I think he finally just got tired of hiding out. I'm various curious about his motivation.

OMG.. Was it a claw hammer!!

I don't trust anything they tell us about that bombing any more than I trust what they say about TWA 800. There was no good reason to cut a deal with this scumbag if they had a solid case against him for Olympic Park.

well he did save the taxpayers a HUGE amount of money by not having a long and expensive trial...
and by not getting the death penalty another HUGE amount of money was saved by the numerous appeals which occur for years and years...
I wouldn't put any money on this clown surviving in general population for very long any way...

Though I am not a Rudolph fan, his bombings were "targeted" at gays and baby killers, noyt innocent civilians. You may want to change your screen name. How are gays not innocent civilians?
I always thought the Atlanta bombing did not fit his motivations in the abortion clinic bombings.
A bit surprised.

While that's true, saving us money has never been high on the FBI's list of priorities.

He probably didn't do the Olympic bombing. The deal could have been, "Plead guilty on this so we will appear to have solved it (even though someone else did it) and we won't fry you on the other counts. It's a win-win for both of us."
