You have to think if he was shot at on purpose by US Troops, he would be dead. His is not a tale most shot at by a US soldier tell.

Troops believe he was working for insurgents, not just covering them as reporter. I see they are working hard on getting their next Peabody Award.
To: ambrose
Let's hope they've got enough evidence to try him for treason!

Is it any wonder why 'journalists' (really, left-wing propagandists) are widely considered to be the enemies of America?

That was my second thought. My first one was that troops who were under arrest shot him. I wondered why the troops were under arrest.Yeah, that one crossed my mind, too. But I thought it was weird that they'd still be armed while under arrest.

I'm sure not suprised. Good for our troops for recognizing it.
To: ambrose
If they shot him, shouldn't he be dead? Bad ammo.

I wonder who arrested him? The Iraqi's may have him as the show of the day if they have him in custody.

If by treason you mean treason against the US, it probably won't happen. Most likely he is an Iraqi citizen. Many networks use local cameramen for certain assignments.

Somewhere a training officer is pissed off saying "center mass, damnit, center mass".
To: ambrose
I hope they shot him with a Howitzer.

Turn him over to the Iraqis. Tell them to interview him. Anything goes. He'll be begging the US to put some panties oh his head and make him pose naked.

Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa...
It's about time people figured out how journalists were getting all of this "exclusive footage".

Don't be too hard on the cameraman who was caught supporting the terrorists. As CBS employees go, he's entry level anti-American. If he were less hasty and more dedicated to the cause, he'd spend years undermining America, rather than just trying to run out and shoot a few soldiers.

Of course, you know "Peabody" is short for "Pee on the bodies of US Soldiers Award."

Troops believe he was working for insurgents Well, if he was being paid to do so, then that's a significant improvement. Our journalists usually do the enemy's work for free.
