Interesting!

This ping list is not author-specific for articles I'd like to share. Some for perfect moral clarity, some for provocative thoughts; or simply interesting articles I'd hate to miss myself. (I don't have to agree with the author 100% to feel the need to share an article.) I will try not to abuse the ping list and not to annoy you too much, but on some days there is more of good stuff that is worthy attention. I keep separate PING lists for my favorite authors Victor Davis Hanson, Lee Harris, David Warren, Orson Scott Card. You are welcome in or out, just freepmail me (and note which PING list you are talking about).

More specifically, my objection to the Network is this. It’s one thing to associate [International ANSWER’s Brian Becker, Ramsey Clark, or [National Lawyers Guild convicted terrorist] Lynne Stewart with political Islamists; these people truly have gone around the bend, and are making what amounts to a red-brown alliance between the far far left and the far far right of Islamism. It’s quite another thing -- an indefensible thing, I think -- to suggest, as this database does, that there is a ‘network’ linking people like Katie Couric to Mohammed Atta, Zacarias Moussaoui to Roger Ebert.

The problem I have is I've yet to see the likes of Katie Couric..Roger Ebert..Barbra Streisand...Bill Moyers come out and attack Brian Becker, Ramsey Clark...etc for being "Around the bend" or criticize them on anyway. So what is a person supposed to think.

"This dominance has caused it to inhabit a cultural echo chamber where the only interlocutor it really has to speak to (and answer to) is itself. Consequently, it has grown intellectually lazy and reaches for the most convenient epithet before it ever thinks about an argument."

Odd how some of the greatest empires are built on grim foundations: the Hittites, Greece, Rome, the Huns [and their Mongol descendants], Portugal, Spain, and the Brits. We should also marvel for a moment at the achievements of the Vikings and Normans, barbarians from Ice and Fog.

You look at the lands of plenty, where fruit trees abound, where great rivers simply beg for rich farms, and there you don't see the greatness found from the strangest of places.

It looks the same regarding GOP versus DNC. FReegards....
