Orlando interim Mayor Page's wife accused of stalking woman

Orlando interim Mayor Ernest Page's first month in office was marred by at least six confrontations between his wife and a woman she accused of being his mistress, court records show.

The animosity peaked March 30, when a court injunction ordered Wanda Page to stay at least 500 feet from her husband's nonprofit community group on South Kirkman Road.

A day later, Orlando police closed the investigation after being told complaints of stalking and battery had been nothing more than a misunderstanding.

The 63-year-old Republican and his wife could not be reached for comment Thursday evening.

..........In a sixth incident on an unnamed day, Bradford wrote that Wanda Page, 48, and others threatened to hurt her if she continued to work for Ernest Page. She wrote that she was forced to drive different routes to her home to elude Wanda Page, who followed her more than once when she left work.

On March 11, the same day Page became interim mayor after the indictment of now-suspended Mayor Buddy Dyer in an election-fraud scandal, Bradford accused Page's wife of parking outside her office and staring at her.

On March 29, she accused Wanda Page of cursing at her, grabbing her and pushing her into an office wall, then snatching her company cell phone, records show.

.........Under the injunction's terms, Wanda Page cannot possess firearms or ammunition. This will not impede her ability to hold her job as a state probation officer because she is not required to carry a firearm, said state corrections spokesman Sterling Ivey in Tallahassee.

The temporary injunction likely will not affect her employment because it did not result in her arrest on criminal charges, Ivey said.

No it's not.

I remember driving with my family from St. Petersburg to Daytona Beach in the 60s. It's certainly a different place.

What the HELL is FLORIDA anyway? Transplants have outnumbered the Crackerboys since at least the late 1960s. It is a state of nomads and transplants whether you like it or not.

That being said, the best thing about Orlando is that it is not Kissimee. What a SH-THOLE the latter town is.
