THE active ingredient in cannabis protects arteries against harmful changes that lead to strokes and heart attacks, new research suggests. THC, or delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol, is known to affect the brain and make cannabis-users high. The new research shows that it also has an influence on blood vessels.
A study of mice revealed that the compound blocks the process of inflammation, which is largely responsible for the narrowing of arteries.
Inflammation combines with fatty deposits to produce obstructive plaques, a condition known as atherosclerosis. These can block arteries to the heart, causing angina and heart attacks, or to the brain, leading to strokes. Atherosclerosis is the primary cause of heart disease and stroke in the Western world, accounting for up to half the deaths from both conditions.

So, we may either stay on an unending high, or we get various strokes, or deep-vein thrombosis, or a heart attack?
There must be a middle way somewhere here.
Yeah, but does it taste as good? :)
Cannbis can help slow narrowing of arteries, help reduce chronic pain for cancer and other long-term patients, it can ease depression, but there is one really nsaty side effect.
It can also cause 20 years in prison with no possibility for parole.
Uh, what?
Oh yeah, he did but didn't inhale. What a waste of good pot.
So how do those white mice get their little mouths around a hash pipe? And tiny Chips Ahoy later?

Unfortunately for me, I am addicted to moderation. I do it all the freaking time, in excess. I wish I could cut down on my moderation, but then it wouldn't be moderation, would it?
Maybe I can the government to classify it as a disease, and then I could sue someone and get a bundle of cash.
They use Cookie Crisp cereal instead of Chips Ahoy.
And silly one, they use a water pipe to get the mice high. It looks just like the regular water dispenser.
[Doc]: Well, Mr. Smith we've received the results of your tests.
[Smith]: Yeah, Doc?
[Doc]: Your arteries are, in fact, not narrowed. On the otherhand, we now know why you've been behaving as if they were.
[Smith]: Cool.
You gonna eat that?
One would think - yet the established U.S. institutional order has poured millions into pursuing the elusive fatal vector of marijuana, while spurning all attempts to perform actual scientific research on this plant to see what therapeutic potential exists.
Such an attitude is symptomatic of modern state cultism, in which the paranoias of the bureaucracy become the accepted wisdom of the people.
All this is unworthy of a free people, imo.
Thanks for the link.
Everything in moderation, including excess.
There must be drugs available that have the same effect that are legal. Who cares if they cost many, many, times more than weed?
The problem is the arteries are clogged by all those Cheetos that you eat afterwards.
;^0
Certainly not Pfizer!

I'm not sure, I haven't tried the powder (yet). I doubt it though. Normally, with these supplements, I just put them in empty gelatin capsules. I do love pom juice though...mmmmmmmmmm :)
No problem, I highly recommend them! The price breaks for buying in bulk powder is unbelievable. Other great and low priced outlets are: www.iherb.com and www.bulknutrition.com.
No, we'll have a nation of peaceful, content people with very clear arteries.
