FreeRepublic Pledges (Vanity)
TheHound
Posted on 04/06/2005 6:50:29 PM PDT by TheHound
Why do these pledge periods have to take so long? For a measly $66,000, I would think the pledge period would only last about a week. If everyone who used this cite for longer, in a year, than they do reading a magazine subsciption, pledged the price of a magazine subscription, I believe the pledge amount would be met in about two days. I certainly hope the day never comes when I have to see "Cialis" ads blinking on the right side of the FR page so they can pay for bandwidth!

And Teddy Bear went and pushed my Easy Button in that big, cold beer pic to Gramma.
It's pulling me to the fridge to grab a cold Heine.
Cheers, everyone!
Rumps Bottoms up!

I don't forget stuff like that. I'm ashamed to admit that while I haven't forgotten, I don't completely remember.
No matter. I don't type in stuff here that I don't mean. Even still, you'll need to check out the disclaimer on my profile page. I may mean it but I can't be held responsible for saying it.
At least, that's my story and I'm stickin' to it. =;^)

"I give because this site is addicting. I'm not sure why long timers do not." Dollar-a-day-giver...we just don't make a public display out of it.

Hey what's 20.00 to doinate? I am sure in a past life before many Freepers: found some entertainment on Free Republic they were proably at some Local Watering Hole buying the house a round!
Now how much did those Happy Hours Cost anyways?

Yup. That saying and "lead, follow or get the ***k out of the way". That was my favorite (especially at work).

That's good. Did you know I started this tread on a fluke? The Freepathon was going about a week and it was only at 12%, so I just zipped one off. The following day it was at 85%, I felt like a fool. This silly "Vanity" is approaching 500 Posts! The serious stuff I've put up has never gotten more than a couple of dozen. Do I get some kind of merit badge, if I get 500 posts on a thread? Hahaha!

I'll write you up for a citation, but my influence around here is zilch. However, it's the thought that counts, right?
To: Dog Gone
Your self esteem is way too low - stand if front of a mirror and repeat - "I am what I am and I know what I am (Popeye) and if they don't like it they're zilch. There, and I will accept your citation - I am now "Deputy Dog" - Gone.
