"Why does the world need such a hell-hole of a country, an apartheid-racist-war-mongering-Jewish theocracy?"
When someone starts a dialog with a question like this, you know you're talking to a liberal and any further discussion is pointless.

I asked a jewish friend about this "right to exist" question some years ago. He replied by asking me what right I had to live in my house. I told him that I had paid for it and had the paperwork to prove it. He replied with, "So what if I show up on your doorstep and just start moving my stuff in?". I told him that I would try to forcibly remove him, and if that failed I'd call the police. "Exactly" was his answer, "we all keep what we have by the threat of violence, and that even applies to the weepy, non-violence crowd."

I know I'm being to picky, but while I agree with the article, I do still think it could have been better written and more forcefull and more effective at reaching a solid point.
Instead, its mish mash with a twister at the end, that does not even fit into context.

That sounds like either a liberal either fishing for an argument, an anti-Semite looking for an argument, or liberal fishing for some kind of affirmation of something she heard from a professor.
That question is loaded more than a gun at Phil Spector's house or a Johnny Cochran cross-examination.
I like to tell liberals who ask that kind of thing that since Israel was created by the United Nations it has every right to exist since the United Nations is perfect and doesn't make mistakes. It's fun to watch them fume and start making excuses about "rich white men" and such.

I suggested that she consider the question as an opening for a conversation about the "right to exist"The quest for some "right to exist" granted by a mythical "world community" and bolstered by equally fictitious "international law" is a curious obsession of some Israeli Jews, and a lot of their American brethren.
Israel, like the United States and every other nation on earth has the right to what it can take and defend.
No more, no less.

This is actually a good question. It should be posed to Arab/EU/UN types everywhere.
We've had enough pussyfooting around the heart of the matter.

There is only one good reply to such an idiotic question.
"By the right of military conquest, of course. Which explains the existence and borders of most every country in Europe, North America, South America, and Asia. Africa is just strange.
Indeed, why does France have a right to exist? Wasn't it just the thuggery of Charles Martel, Pepin and Charlemagne against poor muslims and pagans that brought it into existence?
