I still don't get the Clinton-Bush buddy-buddy connection....

Same here. I am so disgusted to see that filthy pig anywhere near 41 or 43. When I saw I-X42 at the Super Bowl with 41 I wanted to scream. Do the Bushes really think that if they are nice the Rats will come around and behave decently? Can they be that naive?

It is the right thing to do, imo... much as it looks ugly, it is...

Its OK with Jimmy. He's planning on going over as an elections observer to keep an eye on the cardinals as they elect John Paul's successor. He may take Jesse Jackson, too.

Good one!

I still don't get the Clinton-Bush buddy-buddy connection.... what's that about? Jimmy Peanut has oozed vitriol and his joined at the hip friendship with Michael Moore was too much for the Bush family to endure.Clinton has been somewhat measured in his criticisms of Bush and occasionally praises him. Being nice to Clinton is an extra special insult to Peanut.

But holding the office entails far different considerations for the Bushes than it does for the Clintons. For the Bushes, it is about woirking for the good of the country, whereas for the Clintons it is about amassing power and wealth for themselves.

I still don't get the Clinton-Bush buddy-buddy connection.... what's that about? It's about getting Hillary elected. The only way slick willy can look respectable is to stand between the Bush Presidents. It's truly sickening. Enough is enough.
This helps weaken Hillary's hand going into 2008. Bill is used ceremoniously by President GWB throughout his 2nd term. Hillary starts to campaign for prez and Bill and Hillary can't bash the previous 8 years with the same venom that they would like.
If they do run against President GWB's 8 years, the Republican candidate runs ad after ad after ad with Bill shoulder to shoulder with President GHWB and President GWB. They then ask where his objections were during all of that time.
This is the greatest gift President GWB can give the Republican candidate in 2008.

Not earth shaking, no. But the sooner Carter becomes irrelevant in the world's eyes, not just of us Freepers, the better.

Maybe one benefit is to highlight just how outcast Carter is these days.

Jimmy Carter is an embarrassment to true Baptists. Loser President and a better pal of Marxist tyrants than his own America. I throw peanut shells his general direction....

But Clinton is using the Bushes to make himself look good. In addition, seeing his disgusting face so often stirs up so many bad memories to many citizens. I see nothing "right" about that.
If Clinton had not infested the WH for 8 years, September 11 would not have occurred. Publicly bashing Clinton would be unseemly for the Bushes,of course, but do they have to embrace him? Can't they just politely pretend he does not exist anymore?
