My grandfather had some interesting, and dementedly funny, tales to tell of WWII.
We were speaking about the M-9 bayonet that I got issued in uniform, I hated it due to being able to break it, and grandpa pops out with, "I had a knife once. Gave it to a German."
Now, we'd never heard of Grandpa being friends of any kind with any Germans, so we were intrigued.
So we asked him, "Really? What did he say when you gave it to him?"
Grandpa goes, "He said 'Auuuuugh'."

Very nice to meet you, Bill.

We DO have manners, and you ARE welcome, we just tend to get silly.

And *this* silly thread is in your honor.

BTW, thank you for your service to our country. It's our honor to have you here, but don't think you'll ever live THIS down. ;-D

I always refer to the spell check button as the 'spelling chicken' that pecks my post to death.

I still have yet to live down my typo of "Ganags of Epopel", but it is quite useful for humor sake.

I have to tell you that one night, I got quite a fit of giggles over "ganags of epopel." Hub was looking puzzled, and couldn't help laughing along, so I tried to explain, and just couldn't quit laughing long enough! He had to read the whole thread with me!

I pronounce the second word, "Ee-popple" and I love it! I dearly love FReepin fun. ;-D

You know, I didn't bookmark the thread where the poster typed "Scarmbled".
I feel like a dunce now.
