Are there enough FReepers on the Western Slope of Colorado to warrant a breakfast/meet n greet in Grand Junction on Saturday, April 16, 2005 at Starvin Arvin's?
I would like to see us playing a bigger role in local and national politics, and thought this would be a great time to get to know each other and work on a plan on getting involved.
If there is enough interest, let's do it! I think we could make this a regular thing, and eventually get special speakers in and more.
bump for CO!
LOL! You're playing into the stereotype. Why not an upscale restaurant, instead? It might freak out the liberals who dine there. ;)
Suggest the place - I said SA because I was going to say Denny's first, but the Denny's here is rotten.
SOunds great -which Arvin's? May not be able to make it because my wife /showfur works Saturdays (Lately she's worked nearly every day -Nurses Aid) And I 've got a granddaughter I am stand in daddy to.But it sounds great.
It would be great if you could make it! I'm thinking it's way past time we get something fired up over here - quit letting those DC guys show us up ;)
I was always rather amazed at the political divide betwixt the Front Range liberal mindset and the conservatives living on the Western Slope.
Who is this Arvin and why is he starving? If he is the owner, then let's find another spot!
ROFL!
But I like your homepage ....interesting.
Yeah, and we're better looking too!
Ah you ain't had Green Chile Supreme like Starvin Arvin does it -at the Pufferbelly. The guy who starte dit is a
Mormon and skinny - but one durn good cook.
You can also contact the Corado Chapter of FR Network, using form on below page, and see if they want to participate. The Colororado Chapter link on this web page is dead, but possibly the form will allow you to get in touch with some Colorado FReepers.

You've already, posted something to the Colorado state board http://www.freerepublic.com/perl/profiles?location=54, but it is also advisable to ping Colorado FReepers to this thread. You can get the names of FReepers, who have declared Colorado as their locale, by going here:
http://www.freerepublic.com/perl/profiles2?m=member-list;location=54
Many FReepers list their city or county and you can limit your ping to those within a reasonable driving distance.
(You probably already know this, but for the benefit of others who may consider FReeper meetings, one should NOT list personal residence addresses, email addresses, or personal telephone numbers in a public board, but you can use FReepmail to communicate those as needed.)
One of the greatest traits of FReepers is their willingness to roll up their sleeves and do what needs to be done, instead of simply waiting for someone else to do it.
Hope that you have a great event!
PS. Being in the DC area with the very active DC Chapter (http://www.dcchapter.com), the meetings that I've been to have confirmed: FReepers are the greatest.
Are we talking the Arvins in Clifton, or the one on North? Clifton has appropriate decor (guns, mountain men stuff).
Can't wait to meet other western slope freepers.
East slope, front range bump!
West slope FReepers, get out there and have some fun. You have to admit, there are tons of leftist loonies here on the front range, but you guys have Aspen!
FReeping in Aspen sounds like a real hoot! Can you say "Target Rich Environment"? Remember, nothing gets to a leftist like conservatives holding protest signs and grinning. Especially when the signs are not politically correct (make fun of them).
How's this - Starvin Arvin's in Clifton, 8:30 am, Saturday April 16, 2005?
Thanks so much to the link for fellow Colorado FReepers. I thought it had gone away when my old link disappeared long ago!
Hey, there's the Nepalese restaurant downtown on 5th street. I'll try and make the March 16 Starvin' Arvins meeting.
I would love the opportunity to get to know everyone over here, so if you could make it, that would be great!
BUMP! C'mon Western Slope FReepers...come out and have some fun!
I am planning on being there. Don't forget Paoina and Durango when you think of target rich environments!!
