I'm still sad and in disbelief that the rescue fell apart. It was on it's way. We were waiting there for ambulances but instead two Sheriff's cruisers arrived.
There's much work to do. There are many work groups here carrying on for Terri.
The April Daily Thread as before will be a meeting place, a news digest and even in the midst of sorrow, a place to make friends.
I want to thank everyone who did everything humanly possible for Terri and her family. Terri's safe now from a room with the blinds closed, strange people and armed guards. She'd still be here if it wasn't for judicial despots who it appears have never read the Declaration of Independence or the U.S. or Florida Constitution.
Freepers, Republicans and Democrats alike voted against Terri or didn't do enough to save her from Judge Greer.
I'd like to thank Ralph Nader, David Boies, Joe Lieberman and Wesley Smith, Phd, author of Forced Exit.
I have disdain for the Naughty Nine Republicans in the Florida Senate who vote "No" which barred Terri from legislative relief. The GOP House Members who voted "No" on Terri, shame on them too.
WHAT EXACTLY IS THE AGENDA AND WHO IS IN CHARGE? I'm afraid that Judge George Greer is in charge - of everything.
PLEASE HELP FLORIDA... CALL YOUR SENATORS AND CONGRESSMEN/WOMEN.

While I was very impressed with their statement on withholding Food and Water from disabled people, I'm very concerned with the attitude of those who actual care for people in the State of Arizona.
Just 2 days after Terri died, I spent almost an entire week in the Intensive Care Unit of a large hospital in Arizona, visiting a loved one. During that time, I made a deliberate point of asking every RN that I could, what was their opinion of what happened to Terri Schindler.
Without exception, every Nurse sided with her so called husband in her elimination/killing. I was horrified and did everything I could to try and change their minds. From the look on most of their faces, I was not successful. Also, on the very day Terri died, I happened to have the opportunity to ask a paramedic and an RN about Terri. The nurse without blinking an eye, said - Terri died 15 years ago.
After what I had experienced by doing my little survey/poll of nurses, I was beginning to wonder what the blank was being taught in Medical Schools. I also wondered if the Nuses that I spoke to, just happened to have ice water in their veins or were being programmed by the Culture of Death, represented by people like the stinking bioethics bunch, we all watched on the MSM.
What I had heard really caused me to fear the medical community in my area. Therefore, I was definately happy to see the statement from those who are in The Arizona Medical Association. Perhaps they should pass their views on to those in the Medical Profession, such as the Nurses who are working with the public.

So sorry to hear about your heart attack. You worked so hard for Terri. The stress you were under had to be hedious. In my opinion, what happened to Terri, was the worst event of my lifetime, in terms of our country and it's future.
I too have had a horrible past month of family problems and also health related issues. I'm only bringing up my own stuff, to ask if others who fought so hard for Terri, were also hit with unbelieveable health and other issues, during that time frame leading up to, and those 13 days when Terri was executed.
You worked so hard for Terri and are truly an Angel. Hope you are able to get lots of rest and recover fully real soon. I'll remember you in prayer.

You're exactly right~~!!! Judge Greer definately decided he was qualified to be a doctor, that Felos would support. What an outrage and it sure didn't allow Terri to have Due Process in a Court of Law.

I've been watching MSNBC tonight. David Gergen made the statement that President Bush is distancing himself from the Terri case, by what he said during his News Conference tonight. I sure didn't get that from what Bush said tonight. I'm really tired of the spinning/talking heads that the MSM drags out to tell us how to think.
Just now Gergen said the republicans over-played their hand in the Schiavo case. What the heck are they thinking. If anything, in my opinion, they under-played their hand. Terri died. They didn't save her. Right here on Freerepublic, I've heard that 85 percent supported saving Terri. From what I'm hearing, people are angry over the fact that their own party has blood on their hands because they did NOT save Terri.
My TV is again in danger of being destroyed by my tiny little foot. grrrrrrrrrrrrr
You know, if Jeb Bush FINISHED THE JOB, he would be a shoe-in to be president, as pro-lifers would support him financially and with action.
Now his career is toast, IMO.

Will Judge Decree Death for Teron? An Urgent Appeal
The New York Daily News reports today:
The family of a brain-dead [sic] Bronx boy said last night it has made the agonizing decision to officially end his life today.
Teron Francis, 13, is expected to be removed from a ventilator at Montefiore Medical Center's Children's Hospital after a noon court hearing to lift an injunction that has kept him on the machine, a judge in the case said.
"The family conveyed to me that they would like me to lift the injunction," Bronx Supreme Court Justice Douglas McKeon said after meeting with the family at Montefiore for 5-1/2 hours last night.
CURE has faxed the following appeal to Judge Douglas McKeon, that is, we have faxed it to the Bronx Supreme Court (718-590-4520). Repeated calls made to Judge McKeon's office (718-590-3748) requesting his direct fax in order to send him this critical information resulted in his staffer repeatedly hanging up after saying, "No one to help you here." It was acknowledged that Judge McKeon was in the building. Thus the Culture of Death again prevents the truth from reaching those in a position to stop the killing!

First, a belated but heartfelt note of appreciation for your ruling that has thus far prevented Montefiore Hospital from removing Teron Francis ventilatory assistance, thus causing his death. The respect you accorded him by visiting him in the hospital and the compassion you have shown his family are deeply appreciated as well.
The enclosed information was faxed to the offices of attorney Robert Genis on April 23 because they have direct bearing on Teron’s medical status and could have led to the presentation of pertinent evidence in the hearing you conducted on Monday. I implore you to review them before ruling on any request to vacate your order.
The simple truth is that Teron Francis is alive and that after his ventilator has been removed he will be dead because death has been imposed on him. This tragedy is compounded by the irony that the loving family who understood that Teron is alive and had vowed to stand by him until his heart stopped will have consented to his being killed.
You had indicated that you felt towards Teron as a son. I have a son of my own, Thomas, who is 15, just a couple of years older than Teron. If he were to be murdered, it would break my heart, but if it were by my hand that his death was decreed, I would be inconsolable.
May God bless you for your consideration of our urgent appeal and grant you the wisdom and courage to defend his sacred gift of life.

That is a very good question! It's hard to say because it is such a mysterious, shadowy, cult-like group (think Illuminati or Skull and Bones) that keeps morphing. We do know that it's members swear an oath of hostility to both God, religious people, and Pro-Lifers. Membership is secret. It is said that they have a 'Manifesto'.

Scoop1 was banned/suspended from FR on about 4/19 for, once again, threatening fellow FReepers whom she perceived to be "disagreeing" with her with legal action. There was one particularly contentious--and frankly, bizarre--thread, now pulled, that was apparently the last straw for Free Republic.
That same week, Scoop1's partner announced her intention to disassociate herself from The Empire Journal, effective 4/22/05. Shortly after that, the website was wiped clean, and the "under construction" notice posted on the home page.
I believe that June (Scoop1) has some other "journal" website that she may be posting articles on now, but I don't know the name of it. I expect that someone else here might be able to post a link to it.
Oh my word, I ahve no idea that Scoop1 was banned from here. To bad, I liked her. I see TEJ is down. What a mess, to bad.

Here is my thinking on this poor boy Teron. He is gone now to God, and I believe he is with the Lord now. However, I do not think that taking Teron off the resperator was murder. He was brain dead. There is a huge difference between someone who is brain dead and brain damaged. There is still life in a person who is brain damaged, and there isn't when someone is brain dead. I have seen a brain dead person, they are in fact dead, but being kept alive by machines only.
I do not think it is anyone but the famalies decision to pull the plug on their child. If they wanted a second or third opinion to make sure he was in fact brain dead than they should be allowed that until they believe it for fact. It takes time and no hospital should try and override a families wishes, unless the wishes are to harm. There was no harm in keeping Teron alive artifically, and I am glad that his family got to make those decisions for him. I know it must have been hard. I don't think I could ever make those decisions myself.
