Freeper friends, Terri's Memorial Service is this coming Tuesday night in Gulfport, Florida. Please check and see if www.baynews9.com will carry it on the internet.
I'm still sad and in disbelief that the rescue fell apart. It was on it's way. We were waiting there for ambulances but instead two Sheriff's cruisers arrived.
There's much work to do. There are many work groups here carrying on for Terri.
The April Daily Thread as before will be a meeting place, a news digest and even in the midst of sorrow, a place to make friends.
I want to thank everyone who did everything humanly possible for Terri and her family. Terri's safe now from a room with the blinds closed, strange people and armed guards. She'd still be here if it wasn't for judicial despots who it appears have never read the Declaration of Independence or the U.S. or Florida Constitution.
Freepers, Republicans and Democrats alike voted against Terri or didn't do enough to save her from Judge Greer.
I'd like to thank Ralph Nader, David Boies, Joe Lieberman and Wesley Smith, Phd, author of Forced Exit.
I have disdain for the Naughty Nine Republicans in the Florida Senate who vote "No" which barred Terri from legislative relief. The GOP House Members who voted "No" on Terri, shame on them too.
WHAT EXACTLY IS THE AGENDA AND WHO IS IN CHARGE? I'm afraid that Judge George Greer is in charge - of everything.
PLEASE HELP FLORIDA... CALL YOUR SENATORS AND CONGRESSMEN/WOMEN.
HELP US. We feel stranded by tyranny today, but Florida is ripe for change. We will demand it together as Americans.
Thanks, FV
Or, he went to the window to look outside.
Any ideas of what she can do? I believe she is in California. The pictures are so graphic of what happened to her husband. Very very heinous and criminal.
I don't have any idea what she can do, but I'm sure a good lawyer would be able to help her.
She needed a good publicity agent early on. That seems to be the key to saving the lives of these "useless eaters." Certain workers in health care, judges, lawyers, and others involved in these killings are like cockroaches. Shine a bright light on them, and they scatter.

sorry for the repeats.. something weird happened on my system.
I'd like to hear from those jurors too. I wonder if they feel the same way I feel about the jury I served on. After doing my part to return a guilty verdict, I discovered we had all been lied to, and the man wasn't guilty.
the link has a story and has a moving photo section or whatever that has different pics of the things that happened because of a nursing home, etc. and bad people. i just thought i would share it in that it came to my attention and i'm just seeing if anyone has any thoughts for the woman of what she could do. she says someone tried to help her and took her money but is now paying her rent.. apparently some millionaire helped her through someone and he pocketed the money but she was going to report him (the intermediary) so he is paying her rent. but i was wondering if there was something legal she could do to sue? it seems like a wrongful death case to me.
California has a very tough elder abuse statute that she could sue under as well.
We need to help this lady!
I left her a message.

I'm beginning to wonder if the whole legal system isn't/is corrupt! No justice, no peace!!
But it never happened when I discussed Terri.
I don't think it's because people lack compassion, I think it's because the man already died, and there's nothing we can do about it, except pray for his soul, which is also important.
There are probably thousands of cases where patients are starved to death. Congress needs to pass some kind of law against dehydrating/starving to death patients who can't speak for themselves.
We need to call our reps and ask them to sponsor, or co-spoonsor such a bill.
If the Republicans don't respect us common folk, maybe they will respect our $$. The next time they ask for money in the mail, send their solicitation back to them and TELL them why.
Also, you can tell them if they are SUPPOSED to be the party of life, stop supporting anti-life candidates, like the FL politicians, or Arnold S., or Gov. Pataki, NYS, or NYC Mayor Bloomberg (who received an award from NARAL), all are REPUBLICANS. The phone # of the National Republcan Party is: 202-863-8500. If the #1 comment line is full, press #3, & you will probably get a real person.
I heard a man call a talk show yesterday, who gave several thousand a year to them, and he told the National Republican Committee that he would not be giving to them again. His issue was taxes.
For those of you who love the Republican Party, this can actually SAVE it, because voters will be so angry, they will go third party, and Hillary wins.
Withholding money NOW is nothing but tough love.
There's plenty of time between now and 2008.
That's probably the most important thing we need to do. But we also need to work on public opinion. Apparently a large portion (I think 9% is large in this case) believe it's okay to starve and dehydrate vulnerable people to death. It would appear Smiley's entire family approves of this torture. If any of them objected, we haven't heard from them.
I'm outraged that people are being starved and dehydrated to death. Regardless of who they are, or what excuse was used, or if they are partly or fully responsible for their condition, or if I know their entire life story, or if I like them or dislike them. None of that makes any difference to me. I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy.
Good one T'wit!
I called King's office to ask who is included in his "others like Terri" group.
That gal in his office is a piece of work to say the least.
She first said she assumed that it was people who are braindead and left no wishes. Then when I said I wanted to know for sure she said she was sure that's who it was. She wanted to know the link for the article I quoted from cause she didn't recall that and they've printed almost all the articles from the past 2 months.
I said it was disputed that Terri was brain dead, then she went to the court has ruled...like a Felos repeat imo. I said the court also "never" ruled on motion to remove Michael as guardian because of conflict of interest and under 38.10 a judge should recuse himself if asked. She said that's up to the judges discretion whether to stay on a case and she said the conflict of interest on guardians isn't in the statutes.
I told her I want to hear exactly who he includes in that group of folks like Terri and told her I have elderly friends nervous they could have their feeding removed because their medicaid costs got too high. She said oh really the Jacksonville Council of Elder Affairs was just there and they support Sen King on that issue and on medicaid reform. ARGH!
So now I have to chase down the Elder Affairs office here to verify that info.
Want your nerves plucked? Just call King's office sometime, that will do the job.
Good for you for keeping after King and posting it.
Ken Goodman of Elder Affairs is a big fan of euthanasia. Big fan. So, is he helping the elderly or helping put them out of the state's misery?
We could join over there and start a public awareness effort. They may be GOP lovers but time's over for that nonsense. What have they done for you lately?
zero.
Take a deep breath. You're approaching utter kookdom.
Nice they waited till after Terri dies to pass this law. I'm sorry, but this law will give the right of anyone to go and shoot/kill another! Florida has lost it!!!
