I'm still sad and in disbelief that the rescue fell apart. It was on it's way. We were waiting there for ambulances but instead two Sheriff's cruisers arrived.
There's much work to do. There are many work groups here carrying on for Terri.
The April Daily Thread as before will be a meeting place, a news digest and even in the midst of sorrow, a place to make friends.
I want to thank everyone who did everything humanly possible for Terri and her family. Terri's safe now from a room with the blinds closed, strange people and armed guards. She'd still be here if it wasn't for judicial despots who it appears have never read the Declaration of Independence or the U.S. or Florida Constitution.
Freepers, Republicans and Democrats alike voted against Terri or didn't do enough to save her from Judge Greer.

I have disdain for the Naughty Nine Republicans in the Florida Senate who vote "No" which barred Terri from legislative relief. The GOP House Members who voted "No" on Terri, shame on them too.
WHAT EXACTLY IS THE AGENDA AND WHO IS IN CHARGE? I'm afraid that Judge George Greer is in charge - of everything.
PLEASE HELP FLORIDA... CALL YOUR SENATORS AND CONGRESSMEN/WOMEN.

Thank you - Mr. President. I rise for a point of personal privilege.
Tuesday morning - of this week, we began our Senate session with a message delivered by the Chaplain of the Day. His text was taken from Matthew 14 about King Herod and how the authority of that day had lost their conscience to the point of calling for the head of John the Baptist on a platter.
I believe the element that called for the head of John the Baptist was the same element that crucified Jesus Christ.
It is also the same element that is taking the life of Terri Schiavo.
As the authorities said it was legal in the day of John the Baptist and legal in the day of Jesus Christ, authorities today say it is legal to starve a living, breathing women to death in Florida.
The whole world is watching America commit the murder on national TV of a young woman who was never offered the first moment of rehabilitation by her husband who clearly abandoned her 12 years ago.
Is not our authority today calling for the head of Terri Schiavo?
Would the authorities in Herods Day call for the head of Barabbas? Of course not.
Would the authorities today call for the starvation of a person on death row? Certainly not.
What is being done to Terri Schiavo would never be done to an animal.
She has been without food and water since last Friday afternoon. Could She die on Good Friday?
I urge you, however you can, to speak up for the life of Terri Schiavo.

Every time I wake up in the night, I am thinking about what they did to Terri.
During the killing, I thought about her suffering and withering and about her family's anguish.
Now I'm thinking about how the media gets away with spinning and lying. It's maddening.
The fact that Terri's family was deprived of the funeral they had hoped for is haunting me. The monsters wouldn't even give Terri's Mom a lock of her hair. This is bothering me. I'm funny that way, I guess.
And the injustice continues. The Florida Dept of Children and Families is incompetent and impotent when it came to protecting Terri's rights. The Governor of Florida turned his back on Terri and walked away.
If only there could be some closure.

Someone either here or on another Web site posted that he now understands why Germans did not stop Hitler. He/she also took no action in face of the armed guards determined to make sure no one tried to give Terri water, apparently ready to shoot anyone who dared.

God bless Terri's family as they fight for justice.
I wish for that to, but remember there will be closer, if not here on earth, after we die. The people who killed Terri will face God on judgement day, and what a glorious day that will be for us all. I hope there will be justice here on earth for Terri and I keep praying there will be.

I know what TA is getting at and you are missing her point. She means that she gets "prayed up" and then goes out and PORTESTS with vigor. Sometimes, we who are Christians have supporters who are not Christians and if they see a bunch of what they consider "religious nuts" out on the streets with their religious symbols, singing hymns etc. they walk the other way and we lose support. We need to amass numbers to protest and prayer is sometimes best done in our prayer closets. Protesting is just that, protesting. God can fill our mouths with the appropriate words to speak in the public forum along with others who will join us.When you need to move the hand of Government leaders, numbers really do count. The last thing we need to do is chase folks away from us.
MSNBC has a stinking poll today that is running like their typical polls - against Conservatives.
This poll asks if Tom Delay should step down. It's 86 percent against Delay. I swear the DU and etc use spamming type software to effect these polls.

President Bush did not use good judgment in picking Bill Frist, or maybe it's hard to tell if a person will be strong or not when making a selection.
We need some stronger Republicans. Where are they? Where are they?

We really need to call our Republican congresspersons & U.S. senators and tell them to support Tom DeLay.
DeLay did nothing wrong. DeLay's weenie colleagues should criticize Nancy Pelosi that actually had to pay fines for wrongdoings. Dems don't want an ethics committee, because Pelosi & other Dems will go down & DeLay will be cleared.
