Freeper friends, Terri's Memorial Service is this coming Tuesday night in Gulfport, Florida. Please check and see if www.baynews9.com will carry it on the internet.
I'm still sad and in disbelief that the rescue fell apart. It was on it's way. We were waiting there for ambulances but instead two Sheriff's cruisers arrived.
There's much work to do. There are many work groups here carrying on for Terri.
The April Daily Thread as before will be a meeting place, a news digest and even in the midst of sorrow, a place to make friends.
I want to thank everyone who did everything humanly possible for Terri and her family. Terri's safe now from a room with the blinds closed, strange people and armed guards. She'd still be here if it wasn't for judicial despots who it appears have never read the Declaration of Independence or the U.S. or Florida Constitution.
Freepers, Republicans and Democrats alike voted against Terri or didn't do enough to save her from Judge Greer.
I'd like to thank Ralph Nader, David Boies, Joe Lieberman and Wesley Smith, Phd, author of Forced Exit.
I have disdain for the Naughty Nine Republicans in the Florida Senate who vote "No" which barred Terri from legislative relief. The GOP House Members who voted "No" on Terri, shame on them too.
WHAT EXACTLY IS THE AGENDA AND WHO IS IN CHARGE? I'm afraid that Judge George Greer is in charge - of everything.
PLEASE HELP FLORIDA... CALL YOUR SENATORS AND CONGRESSMEN/WOMEN.
HELP US. We feel stranded by tyranny today, but Florida is ripe for change. We will demand it together as Americans.
Thanks, FV
With your use of CAPITALS and the way your post was phrased, it read to me as a put down of the "Christian right". If this is not the case, I apologize. I disagree, if action is to be taken, then prayer is needed all the more. I believe that this being a spiritual battle, that the forces of evil can only be taken down by prayer, and it is these forces that are behind the actions of those who prefer death over life.
PROTESTING and PRAYER are and should be two different things, so that everyone feels welcome. I pray before I protest and will continue to do so.
So we are outdone by lobbiests. What does it count when they take the legislator to lunch? When they give him campaign money?
"We have the best politicians money can buy and don't you forget it!" --- Will Rogers
That george felos guy was drooling all over Terri's slow demise. How the media drooled right along with him. They are like rabid dogs. It was sickening beyond belief. And so far noone is able to stop them or even put a dent in their despicably heinous behavior. End times alert up the wazoo. (We'll see if Tom DeLay is able to do something and I certainly commend him for trying.)
Again, I'm sorry if I misunderstood you. Peace and blessing.
"I have a family member who is working on the hill.
I was informed last week that the sick organization (but growing in power...the group that formed to defend bill clinton against impeachment and called itself 'MOVE ONE' as in move on from MONICE LEWINSKY, ick, has a...
HUGE PHONE BANK GOING...CALLING ALL THE OFFICES OF THE CONGRESS AND SENATE and not only dissing tom delay (wanting him gone) but is slaming the social security reform that would allow the poor to access the same wealth builders that the congress enjoys with their retirement funds.
MOVE ON is having THOUSANDS call...we HAVE TO CALL OUR CONGRESS PEOPLE AND SENATORS....EACH OF US!
We have done it before...the LISTS are being kept in each office...pro and con....WE HAVE TO DO THIS!
I called and gave Frist the voicemail of my life! Told him that you cannot be a leader and worry about popularity. That if his presidential aspirations are causing him to play it safe, then he is man WILLING to hurt his NATION for his own benefit. I told him to TAKE A CLUE form PResident BUsh and ACT on the strength of his convictions...that we need good judges on the BENCH NOW!"
WOW!! Your message bears repeating. I'm almost positive that George Soros funds Moveon.org - another way for Soros to try to ruin our country. Yes, we have to counter that by calling our congresspeople and U.S. senators, & telling them to vote to stop filibusters.
The one person that I have not yet called, is Bill Frist. I better find his number and contact him, too.
"So we are outdone by lobbiests. What does it count when they take the legislator to lunch? When they give him campaign money?"
I told a friend about our causes, and she happened to work near her rep, and she personaly took her handwritten letter to her rep on her lunch hour - you don't have to be a professional lobbyist to go in person.
I think more than a free lunch, a politician wants to be REELECTED. Together we can make a difference.
Also, we can write letters to editors to inform folks and ask them to call their reps, we can call talk shows, and most importantly, we can pray.
God works through his people, so we need to pray AND take acion.
{You are so right, just a theory, and moreover, if the Bushes did not know any other way, what a scary thought for our country that such leaders are ignorant of the separation of powers.
Jeb knew of other and proper alternatives, but didn't take them. In Jeb's case, he knew of what would work and what the God of his faith would direct, and instead chose a lesser god.
Once again, what a scary thought he might have been taught such stuff in his own home and would bring that teaching to his role as Lieutenant Governor to Greer.}
I read your thread piece in which you gave your viewpoint as you stood outside Woodside Hospice on Terri's behalf...very telling, thoughtful, inspiring work, 8mm.
Here in this post, I took it that someone had written that my explanation of Jeb is "just a theory". (I haven't had time to read all that was posted, so that is my surmise.)
Point taken, but I would consider it almost too obvious to argue against.
Please consider that almost the whole of this country now believe that the Judiciary has the final say over every legal dispute, even when it crosses the line into social policy, foreign policy, national defense, you name it. It would be odd indeed for the Bush family - scions of the American System of Governance as they are - to hold differently from almost the whole of America.
Don't mistake George W's sterling leadership after 9-ll for some kind of revolt against the system...absolutely not. As Commander in Chief, he saw his role clearly and unquivocally as the only one Constitutionally mandated to lead us against our enemies and to secure this nation. Just as Franklin Rooselvelt after Pearl Harbor. That the Dems and Lib Media oppose him shouldn't make us doubt the absolute correctness, historically, of his role.
However, the weight of history(save for the Founders' intent), practice and opinion is also on the side of the Judiciary's word being "law of the land". We here know what a distortion that is, but it is clearly and unequivocally the majoritarian view in America. At some point, people like the Bushes have got to wake up. America has changed from within the Judiciary. We have social dictators and pro-death judges taking us over, and words alone cannot roll back this slow-moving but deadly juggernaut.
Call it a theory about Jeb and George or whatever; it is so clear that these are good men, well-intentioned men, religious men, moral men and yet...and yet...they do not believe in taking action independently and against Judicial rulings, much less against Judicial restraining orders. Bash them, trash them, ad infinitum...it misses the point and is only hurtful to many, with no good purpose served. Better to say the obvious...they don't get it, just like the vast majority in America.
The Founders had something different in mind, I have no doubt from what little of their history I know. But I am not in office under this evolved Judicial Rule, my family are not Scions of the American System of Governance as are the Bushes, and I am not as captive to my times as I see these men are.
Would that their vision - George in trying to build a stronger America in a safer world...against terror and rogue states - and Jeb for the economic and educational development of Florida - extended to their realization that this horrific Judicial Rule is dangerous for this nation and must be addressed directly...if not by the legislative and executive branches, then by the people in the streets.
I have to humbly disagree. The Bible says to pray without ceasing...so prayer and protest do go hand in hand. If God is not in all, we're in big trouble. Just MHO.
I really hope you are right. I really hope our Executive and Legislative put the balance back pronto with the Constitution as their word.
I am not yet ready to concede our great country to the mob rule which would allow the takeover by the Judiciary. That takeover is what I witnessed at Pinellas Park. I really hope I am wrong.
Please contact Senator Frist, and tell him to continue his fight to end filibusters against judicial nominess, and also, ask him to support Tom DeLay in his fight against activist judges. Here's how you can reach him:
You can e-mail him by clicking here:

Bill Frist phone # is 202-224-3344
Bill Frist fax # is 202-228-1264
If you have the time, you can be really effective by doing all three. :)
PLEASE call and/or e-mail your U.S. Senators, tell them you want them to vote to end a filibuster by a simple majority as the Constitution requires.
Should the Senate fail to conform to the Constitution's rule of a simple majority, a minority of 40 liberal Senators can use the filibuster to force their agenda on every American. Get your friends to call.
The NEW toll-free number is 1-877-762-8762! If that's busy, you can call this toll number (202-224-3121) or
your U.S. senators at their individual numbers (or contact them by FAX).
Ask to speak with your Senator. When finished leaving your message, call your other Senator.

So you will know, this group of agnostics was welcomed into the crowd with very little identification of anyone at all being of a particular group. We were all group. The ones referred to were more raucous, more attention-getting, but were welcomed with charity as well. We had great support from a wiccan as well.
There was no grouping as such except the pitiful few who supported Michael and Greer. I saw no separation of protesters and vigil-doers. It didn't happen. We were in unity.
This is what we were regardless of our own personal reasons. Mine was my faith. To break us down as either RALLIES and PROTESTS or Religious Right people is to not see what actually took place.
That is where the press was and that is where we made our points, all of them, extremely clear, and some even made it past the cutting room floor.
The disabled people I honor on my separate thread today are the ones who unlike the referenced who bared their sores for all to see, were quietly stating by their presence their concern. Their statement was eloquent.
Thanks for the Delay contact info. Time to call him again. FV
OMG lol I love that first pic! Can I copy it? Not to publish or anything just for personal use?
A PPPD said "I don't care if you're the President of the Untied States. You aren't getting through here."
TAKEOVER COMPLETE. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED. I saw it with my own eyes. This is a true account and 8mmMauser can corroborate my remarks. If Pinellas County is really running the Untied States, we're all in big trouble.
ya know... this typo actually works. "Untied States"
From a Florida freeper:
I just heard a report on Bay News 9 (www.baynews9.com) that the bill for extra security to the Hospice Woodside during the two weeks they were starving Terri Schiavo to death is well over $100,000. Hospice of the Florida Suncoast (of which Woodside is a subsidiary) requested the added 'protection' for their staff.
This 'protection' for their staff included snipers on the rooftops of nearby buildings. It included several armed officers at Terri's bedside and outside her door.
Mind you: Snipers used in the event they had to shoot at the people who believe in the preservation of LIFE; they were not there to shoot at the people who were inhumanely KILLING a girl.
Even more outrageous than that is the fact that Pinellas Park's city management is proposing that Hospice Woodside be relieved of their obligation to pay for this 'protection' and that the bill be footed by the citizens of Pinellas Park, Florida instead.
Hospice of the Florida Suncoast takes in over 75 Million Dollars annually. Hospice Woodside had allowed Terri to be confined to her room with no access to common areas or the outside grounds. Hospice Woodside also allowed her to be admitted even though she was not terminally ill. And Hospice Woodside's staff refused to administer food and water naturally in violation of Florida's 825.102 statute that defines abuse, neglect and exploitation of an incapacitated person.
Let them pay their own bloody bills.

I was telling people there about the snipers and some believed, some did not. You may have noticed some had the actual S.W.A.T. badges on their uniforms, not the eeevil looking black outfits like Greer might wear in front of his mirror, but regular black uniforms with a chrome medallion.
I regarded the area past the paddy wagon/dog kennel in the drive as a killing field for any innocents who wished to invade the privacy of Terri as they killed her.
It was ironic, too, the armed guards assigned to Terri's bedside, to protect her, from what????
