Spring is the season of hope and renewal. These last few weeks, we have all been going through a season of darkness and death. But Jesus said, "I am the resurrection and the life; he that believeth in Me, though he die, shall live; and whosoever believeth in Me, shall not die to eternity." (John 11:25-26; and in other places). For Catholics and other Christian denominations, there is no reason to mourn this death. There is reason, instead to celebrate life. Although we mark the passing of Pope John Paul II, let this Dose be a celebration of Spring and of life.

I have only been on here since the year 2000, can someone tell me where the rules are for posting to this, and any other threads?

I had no idea....

Amen Wolfstar - and thank you for posting that exchange with the press about our First Lady. I couldn't help but ask - maybe the press didn't notice because the press wasn't paying attention - as usual. Now that they're noticing - they try to make something sinister out of it.

Thank you also for your admonition about our resurrection in Jesus. I believe that too for Terri - while my heart weeps for her - I know she is now walking and talking and has found peace and contentment as last in the arms of the Lord. It is the only thought that comforts me.

Thank you, Wolfstar, for your wise comments, and also for the dose today.

I am not Catholic, but certainly held Pope John Paul II in high esteem. I pray that the church will find a worthy successor.

Thanks again.

Our President and First Lady are such beautiful examples of Christian manhood and womanhood. My respect for both of them just keeps growing.....

The whole world will sorely miss Pope John Paul and his moral leadership. I can truly say........even though I am an Evangelical Protestant........that I loved this man. I am so thankful that his suffering is over, and that he is at rest with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

A week of sorrow, but also of great triumph!

Thanks for posting this . . . during one of the clips of one of the masses this afternoon, I heard a soloist in the background singing the Easter song, "Jesus Christ is risen today!" A neat reminder to all who believe that they will again live in heaven.

Thanks, for the lovely photos of the Pope from earlier years. I had forgotten how vibrant and healthy he had been for so many years.

Amen, Wolfstar.

Thanks for the weekend Dose. We appreciate your weekend work!!! I'm still praying for your employment situation. Any news? I'm sorry that I don't have the time to read a Dose that goes above 50 posts (and don't they all? We have a wonderful, friendly, group of people here) between my back and the demands on my time, so would you mind catching me uptodate? FReepmail would be fine - and thanks in advance. Everytime I was on the brink of being laid off, or was laid off, I found a position that enhanced my resume by requiring different skills along with my current set, always paid more and usually had some kind of adjunct "benefit" - like travelling to the Pentagon to work, for one, or living and working in Hawaii, Spain and England - for others.

Having had such "beneficial" experiences, I'm praying that the same thing happens for you - that out of adversity, comes diversity and increased benefits, of whatever kind.

You hang in there - we are praying for you and employment, and even for your living situation, and God has big ears and an even bigger heart!
