President Bush and 10-year-old Michaela Huberty exchange thoughts during a roundtable discussion Friday, April 1, 2005, at Paul Public Charter School in Washington DC. Michaela, a fourth-grader at Benjamin Mays Magnet School in St. Paul, Minn., is being raised by her mother while her father is in prison. As part of the President's Helping America's Youth initiative, Michaela joined the Kinship program in her hometown and gained a mentor, adding another positive adult in her life. (For those Dosers who are not aware of this, mentoring children with parents in prison is a cause very close to the President's heart.)

Sad news this morning not only with the passing of Pope John Paul II.
Australia has woken to the news of the loss of 9 Royal Australian Navy personnel on the Tsunami aid mission in Nias, Indonesia after the Sea King helicopter that were traveling in crashed. Such a great loss for my country. God bless them.

I have been gone the best part of two days & when around it seems my power succumbed to the winds of wild Ohio.(we got six inches) = other Ohio gals? It was warm today & so just have a couple inches left on lawn & drive. Man, it is nice to have the sky still light.. longer days & clock changes.
Wolf thanks for the delightful way you present the Dose. I DO APPRECIATE THE COMMENTARY that accompanies the pix. I have mentioned it before, but again as I just scanned the pix, without commentary, I would have been at a loss. I do have a 15" monitor - a larger one might help see some things, but would NOT make me claravoyant !!!
