First of all, this is NOT an April Fools joke!
I want to monopolize your time by selfishly posting a vanity about MY intent to STAY at my favorite site, FR! :D
I've been flamed plenty of times for things I've posted (and am anticipating flames for this post). I've seen people make statements I do not agree with. Does this mean that I should post a vanity on why I am leaving? NO! In fact, a lot is to be learned by disagreement. I have refined and strengthened my arguments over the time I've spent here.
The founding FATHERS (not "framers") had heated arguments while writing the constitution (which is not a "living" or "breathing" document, btw). They didn't run away from conflict. They stuck around, because they wanted to set the course for America.
Unfortunately, a dangerous and degenerate socialist MSM coupled with a dangerous and degenerate socialist educational system, America has strayed from that path.
WE need to forge ahead, WE need to re-shape America's image as a reflection of the constitution.....not Karl Marx's Communist Manifesto. FR is THE ultimate tool to combat MSM bias....EVERYONE has an EQUAL voice here!
This site has made an undeniable impact on the news media, and in the future it will have much more. This is why we have to push forward, no retreat, no surrender......no matter the "casualties" along the way. NO TIME FOR LOSERS, CAUSE WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS....OF THE WEB!!!!!

I am glad you brought up Free Republic's reputation--I have heard several talk show hosts refer to FR, and I always sensed a true respect for what JR has going here---I think we have an obligation to make sure that the reputation stays as an intellectual site, not a site for spite or unmitigated vitriol---
Okay, now we are at 2 "I'm leaving" opus', and 2 "I'm staying" opus'---anyone want to bet on what kind will be the tie-breaker? LOL
So, would that be a "NOPUS"?

I had to do it, Ive been irritated this week by seeing a lot of people bag on FR. They want to take statements made by a few bad apples and use that to discredit us as a whole. It's wrong....
