Pinellas Park, FL (LifeNews.com) -- Michael Schiavo plans to keep the location of where he will bury Terri Schiavo's ashes a secret and will prevent Terri's family from knowing. His brother told the media on Thursday that Terri's family would show up and cause a spectacle if they found out.
"If Mike knew they would come in peace, he would have no problem with it," Scott Schiavo, Michael Schiavo's brother, told AP.
A complete autopsy will be performed on Terri's body by the local county medical examiner's office. Once that is completed, Michael plans to have Terri's body cremated and her ashes buried in Pennsylvania.
Scott told the Associated Press the ashes will be buried in a burial plot left to Michael by an aunt and uncle.
"We've already said goodbye," Bobby Schindler said when asked about not knowing where his sister would be buried.
Concerning Michael's latest decision snubbing his family, Bobby said, "He's been doing this kind of stuff for 15 years. What would make him stop now?"
Terri's parents fought for years to stop the cremate, citing Terri's Catholic religious beliefs, and asked Judge George Greer to allow Terri to be buried in Florida, closer to her family. Greer declined both requests.
Terri's parents and her family did not discuss the burial issue during their remarks to the media following Terri's death. However, Paul O'Donnell, a Franciscan monk who has been helping the family during the last two weeks, said they would hold a Catholic mass for Terri even though they will not have her body present.
The mass will take place sometime next week.
A spokesman for the Pinellas County medical examiner's office said Terri's body would be given to Michael on Friday for the cremation process to begin.
The autopsy on Terri's body may yield a preliminary look in two to three days but the office will not have final results for two to three weeks.
If Terri's case became a "media circus", that was only a by-product of Terri's family trying to keep her from being murdered by dehydration and starvation. In their short press conference after her death, the siblings were humble, resigned, and conciliatory. Michael Schiavo is being deliberately spiteful and cruel. He had long since violated any "sanctity" in that marriage, and the preservation of innocent life trumps everything, anyway. I agree with you, Ivan, he's a cold-blooded monster. There is no valid reason for him to not allow the family who loved her so much that they were willing to expend so much money and energy to take care of her,to do so. If he'd cared so much about the "sanctity" of that marriage,he wouldn't have lived with or had children with another woman while married to the first wife. Divorce wouldn't have been worse than adultery. He's a cold petty spiteful man.The family can take small comfort in that they did all they could, and that Terri is in heaven, and all he has is her body. The righteous God will see to the rest, in His own way and time.
They don't have to put him in jail. But he should have lost his rights as Terri's spouse.
I heard today on CBS newsradio that a court ruled that he had to let the Schindlers know where she would be buried. Haven't been able to confirm this anywhere else. It's CBS so I don't know if it is true.
AMEN
Cremation is considered final dispostion in almost all states. All the death certificate will say is where the cremation took place. Cremated remains then become the property of the next of kin. Cremated remains may be shipped by common carrier without any permits or anything. He doesn't have to physically present them at a cemetery. He can ship them there. If he even plans to have them intered in a cemetery. He could ship them to someone and they could put them in a bus station locker, scatter them, bury them somewhere other than a cemetery.
No laws regulate what you do with cremated remains. The Catholic Church allows cremation if the remain are intered and the grave marked. This poor excuse for a human will probably throw them in the dumpster.
With the circus that has been happening around the hospice, I would have concerns.
I wouldn't doubt it.
The only way he can hide where she is burried, is if he does it illegally.
As to what people believe she wanted...well, that's where the conflict lies.

Well, under the law as it is now, he would not. Adultery may be technically illegal, but unless there is a divorce or annullment, he is (was) still married to her under the law, and as such, he has the rights, privileges and duties that comes with being her spouse.
I believe there will be movements afoot to make changes in a number of laws...this may be included. Whether those movements succeed or not may be another matter, however.
i wish evil to befall this jackel.
i hope his lot in hell is to be in terri's condition only totaly aware of his surroundings and no one changes his diaper for eternity.
That's true, but if it was my daughter I would spend whatever time it took looking for the marker.

Yes, I guess I would too. But it can be a daunting task. I know...because my brother and I spent the better part of three days looking for a marker once -- the cemetery office claimed it had no record of the burial -- but we knew the person was there, so we undertook to search ourselves. We finally found the site, but it was a job and a half.

Actually, there are laws in some places governing certain dispositions of cremated remains -- for example, scattering the ashes over certain waters.

I've checked CBS News' website as well as Fox and CNN. Nothing on this point...well at least not so far.
"Michael is more concerned about Terri's ashes, than he was about Terri when she was alive."
She's been neglected since 1995 it's been charged.
Makes me wonder how her heart kept going for almost two weeks after the food and hydration was removed?
Soory bub, somebody's not being honest about her treatment.
You are so welcome. I get His Word from His Instruction Manual for Those Wishing to Spend Eternity With Him.
This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; who would have all men to be saved, and come to the knowledge of the truth.
The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works; There is none that doeth good.
Jehovah looked down from heaven upon the children of men, To see if there were any that did understand, That did seek after God.
They are all gone aside; they are together become filthy; There is none that doeth good, no, not one.
Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge, Who eat up my people 'as' they eat bread, And call not upon Jehovah?
There were they in great fear; For God is in the generation of the righteous.
Ye put to shame the counsel of the poor, Because Jehovah is his refuge.
I'll pray for ya.
"It would be a shame if they couldn't finally find peace between themselves...particularly as time passes and perhaps moves from the national spotlight."
"Peace with who, the murderer of their daughter?"
You can't very well attack someone by calling them a murderer and not expect them to be a tad defensive now can you? It's human nature.
Even if he his a spoiled brat whatever, if they attack him he's going to react as most humans would....perhaps even more so if he's imature.
