After an extraordinarily difficult and tragic journey, Terri Schiavo is at rest. Columba and I offer our condolences to Mr. and Mrs. Schindler, Bobby Schindler, Suzanne Vitadamo and to all those who offered their prayers and support to Terris family over these past weeks, months and years. These prayers were not in vain.
Many across our state and around the world are deeply grieved by the way Terri died. I feel that grief very sharply as well. I remain convinced, however, that Terris death is a window through which we can see the many issues left unresolved in our families and in our society. For that, we can be thankful for all that the life of Terri Schiavo has taught us.
I still firmly believe that human life is a gift and a mystery, and that its mystery is most evident at its beginning and ending. May all of us whose hearts were moved during the life of Terri Schiavo grow in wisdom at its ending.

To you, the defining characteristic of the people you debate is that they 'bash Bush'.
It isn't that they/we demand justice for Terri.
It's more that we will drag pols over the coals when they don't come through.
Take Jeb, for example. He didn't come through. And now his political career is toast.
Guaranteed.

You can rest assure that we Floridian also are asking for justice for Terri!
Some times when I would ask my children a question they didn't like to face or answer they would change the subject. You do the same:
Your scenarios: While the President or the Governor now having Terri in custody, how would the President or the Governor be able to get the courts to hear their cases or investigate?? I would guess they would be as "unsuccessful" as the Schindlers, again -- unfortunately!!!
What would you then suggest the next step to be regarding Terri's future, ---"warehousing" her for ever???

Terri should have been kept in protective custody until the matter was resolved.

Great post. Please "take on" some of the self-described conservatives who think that just by voting for the GOP and/or Jeb they receive moral vitamins and immunity from stupidity on the subject of Terri.

Terri should have been kept in protective custody until the matter was resolved.
What matter to resolve?
Your are just like when my children were small, they would change the subject when asked a direct question they didn't like facing or avoid it!
You still refuse to answer my specific question if Terri had been taken into protective custody!!
Please answer the question instead of throwing out unsubstantiated rhetorical!!!
Here's the question again for you to answer:......
In your scenarios: While the President or the Governor now would have Terri in custody, how would they, the President or the Governor, then have been able to get the courts to hear their cases or investigate?
I would guess that they would have scored exactly as "unsuccessfully" as the Schindlers, again -- unfortunately!!!
WHAT would you then have suggested the next step to be regarding Terri's future, ---"warehousing" her for ever???
TAX, based on your earlier statements on how badly the Bushes handled the Terri case, would it not be fair for us to get your answer to this KEY question?
It's just a very simple question for you answer, isn't it???

Protective custody would end when the elected person who ordered it leaves office and his successor terminates it, or when Congress passes a law transferring her case to a federal court, for full rehearing of the facts.
A full rehearing of facts in a federal court is what I consider "resolution".
I find your ad-hominem posting style annoying. Please take a several-day breather before posting to me again.
