They are fighting for their child's life. But in fighting for their child's life they are fighting for us all.
This is bigger then Terri to those judges. It's all about their power. And we have seen they have no mercy in showing us their power. Because they had no mercy for one of the least of us, they will have none for the rest of us.

Why don't Shindler's lawyers take a different tack and apply the 14th amendment and (lack of) due process?

But Judge Greer reminds me, in that same parable, of the judge who feared neither God nor man.
He has chosen excommunication from his church (no fear of God) and blatant disregard for an act of Congress and its subpeona (no fear of man).

I think they (MSM) are acting as the 'cheerleaders' for hastening her death. They don't come right out and say it, but now the attitude appears to be "let her go peacefully". Of course this is meant to assuage any guilty consciences out there that might have been thinking there is something horribly wrong with starving/dehydrating someone to death.
To: Diogenesis
Interesting that you would post pictures of people in poor health because they were prevented from eating. Fifteen years ago Terri entered a state of poor health because she choose not to eat. I am amazed that her parents did not treat her for her eating problems, seems like some proactive action back then would of saved a lot of heartache.
Calling the Judge a Nazi is just plane wrong. If you want to vent, why not vent at those who had the option to avoid this whole mess.

Bob and Mary Schindler are parents beyond compare.
They deserve to keep their daughter almost as much as Terri deserves to live.

You should blame them that wrote the Order to murder under color of law.
History will.

There is a lesson in all this, never, ever put your life in the hands of the courts!!!
The family should have kidnapped her months, no, years ago.
We obviously cannot count on the court making the right and moral decisions anymore. We just take the 'word'(and I use that term loosely) of HINO that Terri would want to die rather than live with the love of her family to care for her.
I'm sure had someone told her she would be starved to death she would have said "hell no".
I just hope someone will start a prayer thread for her because the time is growing near and no one apparently can or is willing stop it.

As much as I feel for them, I think it's to late for Terri.Too many days have gone by, there is no way her body can recover from 12 days without additional complications. She'll be gone by the time any decision is made.
Some of these issues should have been addressed earlier when they still had time, especially after the second time the feeding tube was removed. We keep fighting to keep the Federal government out of our daily lives, yet we want an exception on one case. I think now is the time to start demanding reform in our judicial system and remove judges making laws based on their beliefs and donations. Parents have fought a long hard fight against MS and **&^%$ judges.

Especially since CBS already posted her orbit.

I wonder what in Sam Hell they get out of constantly repeating that lie!

No need to. Anyway, freepers who are still stuck on narrowband connections would probably prefer if you didn't post them, but you'll do as you please of course.

Whatever the outcome, the Schindlers are going to be able to live with themselves. They have done everything in their power to save Terri's life. I know the opposition side is full of sociopaths who feel no guilt or shame, but if they manage to murder Terri, maybe what they have done will come back to haunt them in some way.

"Bush signed legislation backing a federal court review of Terri's case -- she has been in a persistent vegitative state for 15 years -- but the federal courts have so far declined to intervene on her behalf."
She has NOT been in a persistent vegetative state for 15 years. That is a LIE! We are witnessing the judicial murder of an innocent, helpless disabled person. Hardened criminals convicted of vicious murder get better treatment. Is there still hope for Terri?

Judge Bork says they won't, and says why. I'm not defending them, by the way.
